We need an actual AH (yes another time)

So let's agree with this:

UNLESS you get paid real money for items you seel (if you do) via trade.
What are you losing by this AH, I, as others would like implemented?
We are fighting over the same thing if you think about it.
We want this game to have success (and clearly it's not in our hands, GGG is more than capable to develop masterpieces)
BUT what's the point in having another trade system, it would not harm yours, but it could benefit other kind of gamers, like me for exapmple, that don't like to use an alternate trade mechanism, that's all.

2 reasons really. I wouldnt be opposed to actual AH but what you want is really a shop with any items you desire. Games drop rates would have to be adjusted to accomodate for that, meaning it would suck 100 times as much as it does now. Second is more on a technical side. In one of the interviews Jonathan said that trade site is just better than anything they could implement in game. Its easier to manage, easier to make and just works smoother. I hope that clears things up.

Conceptually, the current trade system wouldn't be that bad.

Then you have price fixing, people who team up to make items 'seem' cheaper than they are. These people then buy from anyone who lists it for that same price and flip it for a higher price. I've heard people defend this saying 'you didn't research the price properly' or 'flipping is a fair'. NO. Price fixing is predatory.

Aside from that, simple price shift while you are unaware, will leave you with nothing potentially, but you will never be pmed to hell if you miss-price lol
I'll try to make myself clear once more for the sake of.. whatever.

YES we should get a proper AH
NO we don't need to get rid of website trading

WE SHOULD get rid of botters, people selling bots for selling items in a game.

It seems people nowdays forgot what games are, they are meant to be played, you know, when you use something to ACTUALLY have fun, like GGG is trying to let us remember, again...

What is wrong in this post of mine, is your distorted view of the meaning of game.

You want to waste your time profiting and getting filthy rich in game, I don't really care, it's your life you are wasting, not mine.

I'm an old player, I don't have the strenght nor the time to waste in some marketing inflation stuff, and honestly, as stated above, I don't really care.

Keep your website marketing.
We need an AH for the game to be fun and fast while focusing on..
Spoiler
GAMING AND HAVING FUN!!!

I WOULD SURELY PAY GGG FOR AN AH TAB to have fun and play instead of checking the forum and wasting time.

Yes it's all about time, time is precious, and we'll never have it back.

For me, it's a waste of time, I don't know if it is for you (and to be honest, I don't even really care much)
I'm trying to get the attention of GGG to see if it's possible to have such a wonder in a game that is really close to being perfect now.

Roast me as much as you like, I'll do my best to be heared.

Cheers!
The website trade is unnecessary friction from a time long past. The trade manifesto is severely out of touch today and GGG could stand to revisit this topic in detail. But they won't.

Far as bots go, gold is a thing and ideally the way they do the currency shop in game is how they would do the item shop.
No. We need a unique trade system, no ah.

High gold prices could create enough friction to prevent bots from mass buying and reselling, just needs to be balanced to not hinder actual players that use the Market. They did it well for currency but it will be harder to do for items. Though they could borrow equations from vendor pricing, even if it might need to be tuned upwards. But then trade would arguably directly replace Vendors, which considering Vendors seem to become less useful the more you level up is not a bad thing. The only other thing is that trade is a point of showing off MTX and encouraging social interaction, both things that GGG wants to do. So having it act just like the currency trade in game might not happen ever, but a hybrid system could be possible as long as it isn't too janky.

Overall I like the idea of using gold, I'm just not sure if GGG has enough incentive to go through with full in game trade, even if I personally think it would be useful.

You see, this is a thing personally I agree 100%

Still I'm not as far as I would like deep in PoE2 to understand if Uniques are game changing as was for PoE1
I dont get ppl defending the current trading system.

Like its not fun to spend 3-4h whispering ppl trying to buy something. Because they dont wanna sell at the price they listed it for or they are in a map or something.

Trying to buy an uniq yesterday. Gave up after about 400 whispers. I would even like the "pushed up prices by bots" more. If i just can look at it, oh this is the price and when i push buy i get the item.

And even from a sellers point its anyoing to leave maps, stand in town waitng for buyers etc.

And the entire system with the trade site are macros and scrips anyway so the interration point is just bs anyway

Agree 100%
We just need something equivalent to the automatic system that scripters / botters have.

Doesn't have to be ultra polished, can just be another button in the trade website that does the trade instead of whispering.

We could use a new specific stash tab that locks/unlocks with a small timer (to avoid misclicks, mis-pricings, and other synchronicity issues), with 2-3 slots for items for sale and a small inventory for currency, plus 1 slot for bought items.

That's it.

The recent reroll with gold directly showed that limiting it with simple resource as Time, aka Gold. can lead to horrible outcomes. like no being able to sell the drop. for a fee ggg put.
