[PSA] You're in EARLY ACCESS, give feedback but don't expect your character to be intact

No one thinks it's a headstart (hopefully), but this is also not closer to a closed beta. They completed their beta testing already. This is the product that is considered finished already. Yes, they are going to change things, but severe sweeping changes like these shouldn't be expected when rounds of alpha and beta testing have already been done.

It is not considered finished and you were explicitly told that before EA was sold. You are exactly someone that thinks EA is headstart. Go read what you opted into.

Don't piss off your customer also helps...

Its innevitable if customer is to stupid to comprehend what he bought. You are here to help develop the game, not play it for fun. Just because you use it as such doesnt change its intended purpose.

You're misunderstanding. Nothing will ever be "finished" in a live service game, but yes everything we have so far in this "Early access" from day one has been considered release ready. They're not still making the rest of what's to come, they're refining it based on the feedback they received in the past tests and are going to add it into "Early Access" as they finish it. Also, don't tell me what I think when you obviously are having trouble comprehending what it is being communicated to you in multiple posts. I was giving you a pass because I suspected a language barrier, but don't be rude.

You are just simply wrong. EA is just not what you think it is. It is in no way "release ready" thats why its in EA in the first place. I know what you are trying to say but what you say is just wrong. Its that simple. Its literally the purpose of EA to realese not ready game. For the things you think EA is games have open betas. That is for refining finished product. We literally dont have more than half of the game, only when that other half will get implemented we can talk about "release ready". Just because something is somewhat playable doesnt make it ready.

I'm not wrong. I know exactly what I'm talking about. I said previously, that nothing is ever "finished" and we should expect some changes. They've already tested and tweaked what they're allowing us to play. The rest of the game is done too, so to speak, but it's not release ready so they're not letting us play it. If you think they're making what we don't have access to from scratch as we play EA, there's no help for you. I'm sure you're the smartest boy in your house, though.

Cast on's needed a nerf, they did NOT need a 90% nerf. period. full stop.

1. That depends on what the nerf needs to achieve, in this case kill automation of farming
2. Its not for you to decide what is the correct value.
3. Its not the only outlier nerfed

It literally is up to us to decide, thats exactly why the feedback forums exist.
The only thing this nerf achieved was to completely kill the gems.
If they didnt want automation, they wouldnt have put automation gems in and they certainly wouldnt have nerfed them into ooblivion and left them in.

a really easy fix would have just been to nerf the ddamage value ofskills like comet anf lightning bolt or whatever its called when its attached to a cast on gem.instead they made the skill literally useless. making something useless isnt a good design phillosophy.

Like i said, they needed a nerf, i was all for it. i just am not down for a literal `90% nerf. it was not that strong.

Dude ive never said they need to do all the not ready things from scratch, it doesnt work like that. You dont understand what you got yourself into and you prove that over and over again. EA can have adjustments even to core design, thats what it is for. Its not to let you play, its to help the development of the game. The state of the game doesnt matter one bit. It can be 30% or 99% done. It is not a release because its simply not ready for that. For minor changes we will have open beta (maybe). Every sinlge EA game on the market is like that. If you didnt know than its on you, its willfull ignorance on your part.

A, it is NOT alpha, its early access and they work differently as per steam rules and as its on steam they have to abide by those rules (Not that they havnt, just pointing that out)

B, large sweeping changes are for Alphas and betas, not early access

We're missing more than half of the game, what the fuck are you talking about

For all we know they could be adding supports that will flip the meta 10 times over and they'll have to change those CoX supports back to where they are now.

And as per Steam Rules (that you have, of course, read, because why else would you bring it up) state as follow: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/earlyaccess

What Is Early Access?
Steam Early Access enables you to sell your game on Steam while it is still being developed, and provides context to customers that a product should be considered "unfinished." Early Access is a place for games that are in a playable alpha or beta state, are worth the current value of the playable build, and that you plan to continue to develop for release.

I love when people bring some authority up to bolster their point all meanwhile they don't even fucking know what that authority is actually saying...

Im talking about the guidelines you digitally sign when you release a game onto early access. the guidelines you only see when you release an EA game

The ones you linked honestly need to be changed to reflect the actual guidelines, because they are not accurate. they are incredibly misleading to new devs who think theyre ready to launch into EA. its one of the reasons we see a lot of delayed EA announcements for indie games. they arent given the actual proper information until they sign up for EA

Wither we are missing half the game is irrelevant, as per steam, new content is considered "additions", not changes

Infact theres a lawsuit in the works to FORCE them to change it and make the guidelines public

The game is in Beta stage, Open beta to be precise, it's very well known.

But I kind of agree with your argument about build balancing and respec, I don't think respec should be made completely free, EVER, no matter the reason, the cost of respec should be balanced as needed.
