[PSA] You're in EARLY ACCESS, give feedback but don't expect your character to be intact

It's literally not alpha, that's called an alpha test. Game development stages matter, so it's also not a beta test. Steam literally just had to crack down on this because devs and publishers have been abusing "Early Access" as extended testing grounds, early access is playing a game before it releases.

It literally is alpha.
Alpha version of the game is not feature complete - this game is missing:
- 3 acts (half of the story campaign),
- 2/3 of ascendancy classes (we have 12 of 36) along with skill gems that go with them,
- there are more weapons classes missing than implemented.
Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge.

correct.

Good point, but another point I've seen is that if they are to make such large changes that would brick a build (rightly so), they should make respeccing more affordable at the very least. POE1 already implements this for chars in standard after every league patch.

also correct.
for big changes like this they should be free as jonathan said they would be in multiple interviews before EA released

I see a lot of complaints regarding GGG changing stuff and that GGG is not "respecting their time".

This is a reminder: THIS IS ALPHA VERSION OF THE GAME.

Please read what you're signing up to. From Steam store page:

Early Access Game
Get instant access and start playing; get involved with this game as it develops.
Note: Games in Early Access are not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development.

GGG cannot stop and think whenever a change they're about to make is going to "ruin" someone's build. They have development cycle to uphold and the more time they spend trying to limit the big changes, the more time it will take before full release.

If you do not want to take part in this because you feel like you're "wasting time", please wait for beta or full release.

Of course, if you have constructive feedback why something should be changed and how, go on. But please, don't use "my character is ruined" as an argument, your character being ruined is not important at this stage.

But GGG wants people to play the Game or did I missunderstood there something?
They said they want to present a finished Game when they moved the relaese date. But obiously its far away from that. I don't want to waste my time, playing a character that will be nerved a few days after I started it. When the builds are to strong, okay nerve it next season not a few days after start....

Diablo 2 has so many overpowered chars after years and still will be played by so many people. Can't they wait at least till next season before nerving?

I spend all my currency into my build that do not work anynmore. Can throw it away now. Its worthless. Or what do i do with my 5 link cast on freeze now and why is it still called cast on freeze when it doesnt cast when frozen... Can now call it cast sometimes when freeze.. and this is not a bug, they entended it to be like that.

Its just a stupid, stupid nerv. Can't say anything good about it. Before we had to freeze a monster once to throw a comet now it takes more than 10 times the amount. WTF. Thats not a litlle nerv. It a complete destroying of a build. Stupid.

WHen I start another build that seems to be strong will it be nerved again after a few days???

Those are not qualifications for Alpha. Alpha happens directly after pre-alpha and prototyping with gray boxes. Instead of trying to sound smart, educate yourself and be smart. Being a consumer of something doesn't make you qualified to give analysis.

You really made a post in the Feedback channel about people not liking the patches and then complain about them.
Everyone has made so many arguments against you and even pointed out sound logic but yet here we are.
It makes no sense why you would post this except for wanting attention.

I'll ignore the pointless personal drama and answer you point:

I have nothing against people giving feedback regarding actual changes made (I've even made some point myself): this is literally point of this forum and EA stage of the game. The more feedback given, the better. The problem is, as stated above, PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT CHANGES BEING MADE. They argue it with "their characters are now worse".
This is not about your characters being playable or you having a comfortable experience with the game. This is a test to develop a good game.

There are no seasons yet, game is literally not out, EA is not release. It is exactly time for such changes. This is what you have signed for, not playing regular game.

They never fucking said that, what are you even talking about. We're missing more than half of the game currently, lmao.

I agree that people participate in EA should expect lots of changes, but at same time GGG should allow to adapt to them (aka free respec tree, and maybe even more free jeweler).

Killing builds every other day is fine for me, if I will get chance my build without necessity of starting new class.

Otherwise they can pretty soon test it with lots less players.

most of the feedback i have seen is people being upset that their characters are bricked and that we didnt get the free respecs jonathan said we would get for large changes.
he stated this multiple times, in multiple interviews.
he did not honor that.

Gray boxes... XDDD

Can you use your own advice and educate yourself, please? Some google search will suffice:

You may want to read this part a few times:
