What are you talking about?
I am playing PoE2 right now, I have access to the game.
What do you mean? POE2 hasn't released yet.
It has, they specially gave me a key to it, so I can be their lab rat.
"I am going to play for a long time when it releases"
What did you mean by this then?

What did you mean by this then?

Oh, I see. Do you think that POE2 1.0 and POE2 early access will be the same?

No? Please just get to the point, this is taking way too long.

Ah, I thought you would be ok with taking the long way around. It was nice talking to you.

And I was thinking you were trying to do a gotcha.
Have a good day.

Im talking about the guidelines you digitally sign when you release a game onto early access. the guidelines you only see when you release an EA game
The ones you linked honestly need to be changed to reflect the actual guidelines, because they are not accurate. they are incredibly misleading to new devs who think theyre ready to launch into EA. its one of the reasons we see a lot of delayed EA announcements for indie games. they arent given the actual proper information until they sign up for EA
Wither we are missing half the game is irrelevant, as per steam, new content is considered "additions", not changes
Honestly it doesnt matter one bit. Its not for you to decide what level of changes are accepteble in any stage of the game. Huge changes can be made even after release if developers see this as necessary. EA games have such chanes often. You guys seem like you didnt play any. Honestly arguing with you is like talking to american.
Ironically youre actually the one who seems like you dont play EA games often. one of the main reasons EA even exists is to compile player feedback and possibly impliment it if there is enough interest
If we had no power and it "Wasnt up to us" developers wouldnt make feedback forums. you are so out of touch with reality its genuinely making me sad.

I completely agree with the original poster. The game is currently in Early Access and still in its Alpha stage, which means a lot of things are subject to change. At this point, we’re only experiencing about half of what the game will eventually offer. It’s impressive how some people forget that the game is still in Alpha—it just goes to show how polished and content-rich it already is. That said, I also believe that GGG should significantly reduce the costs for respeccing or, ideally, provide a full respec for every player when major changes like this are introduced.

You are missing the point on purpose? I have plenty of EA games like palworld, soulstone survivors, halls of torment, enshrouded to name a few. I know what level of changes are being made. I didnt say feedback is bad thing to give but it is on devs to make the call how big the changes need to be. Im not the one saying "big changes are for alpha test not EA". Who even came up with this bs? Who the hell do you think you are to police that? You simply are wrong what EA is and refuse to accept that. You wont bend reality no matter how hard you try to deny it.

We're missing more than half of the game, what the fuck are you talking about
For all we know they could be adding supports that will flip the meta 10 times over and they'll have to change those CoX supports back to where they are now.
And as per Steam Rules (that you have, of course, read, because why else would you bring it up) state as follow: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/earlyaccess
"
What Is Early Access?
Steam Early Access enables you to sell your game on Steam while it is still being developed, and provides context to customers that a product should be considered "unfinished." Early Access is a place for games that are in a playable alpha or beta state, are worth the current value of the playable build, and that you plan to continue to develop for release.
I love when people bring some authority up to bolster their point all meanwhile they don't even fucking know what that authority is actually saying...

Infact theres a lawsuit in the works to FORCE them to change it and make the guidelines public
Wither we are missing half the game is irrelevant, as per steam, new content is considered "additions", not changes
Even if that was true (and, once more, I have a feeling that you're talking out your ass again) it doesn't matter. You, as a player, see this notice.
The one that I just showed you. And on the store page.
And we're missing lots and lots of the game.
And to drive your stupid point home and prove once more than you have absolutely zero clue what the hell you're talking about:
How likely it would be to Valve to post MISLEADING AND UNTRUE statements on their official websites that were less restrictive than the actual agreements (allegedly) signed with developers that are factually NOT RESPECTED by most EA games that are on Steam?
Do you know kind of legal mess that would put Valve in? And for what reason, really? It literally wouldn't benefit them in any way.
I'm pretty sure their lawyers would be a little alarmed by that.
Or the other option: you're talking out your ass about things you have no clue about and absolutely refuse to admit that.
But feel free to link that alleged lawsuit that is about forcing Valve to publicise that alleged thing that doesn't exist. I'm sure it exists.
Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge. Last edited by Perq#4049 on Dec 13, 2024, 3:53:10 AM
