Please, respect our time when doing such drastic balance changes
you can nerf a skill that you think it's over powered but not nerf it to the point that becomes totally unplayable, that's just insane.

"This is a ludicrously stupid take that shouldn't exist. I have not had a character bricked by this change, and it should absolutely be the case that these characters get full free respecced when they do. The downside is essentially zero, and the upside is these players retain good will, continue to test the game, and likely level other characters in the future. This isn't a choice between "respec these now completely nonfunctional characters or these people will reroll". It's "respec these now completely nonfunctional characters or the formative experience of these players is they leveled a character and it got immediately decimated and they left to tell their friends". GGG's whole system works on good will. They have immeasurable amounts of it seemingly stored up in a back pocket somewhere given some of the shitstorms they walk out of shiney. But it is not endless, and the release of a new game is a good place to spend it all at once. It is the first week of early access of a game likely to have insane amounts of bugs. Make respecs free for all characters with a large caveat warning that this will not be the case forever, and is specifically to help manage large bugs and huge balance swings that are currently necessary and unavoidable. " It is going to be a lot worse in PoE2 considering what an aweful slog the campaign is unless you are lucky enough with gear and/or choose the right currently OP abilities. |

" If this is your first time playing an ARPG, let me explain that the gameplay in the endgame is identical to the gameplay in the campaign. Nothing magical or confusing happens when you kill Kitava. It's more of the same, but better, more customizable, and can scale up in challenge as far as you want to take it, up to a point of course (Technically infinitely in D3/4). No one comes back to play POE every three months to "Play the campaign without touching the endgame". This isn't Elden Ring. This is a free "Live service" ARPG that relies on people playing repeatedly multiple times a year and buying microtransactions, not playing the campaign as a "Full 25 hour fun experience" and never touching the game again. The endgame IS the actual game. It's this case in poe1, Diablo 3, Diablo 4, Grim Dawn, etc. You would have to be schizophrenic maniac to repeatedly play the story 4 times every three months in those games. ~300k players don't come back every three months to play the poe1 story. And the estimated 100k or so D4 players every season, etc. Last edited by Arghamakkon#0311 on Dec 12, 2024, 5:21:36 AM

" People need to stop acting like this because its EA? That is the point EA, balance, adjustment, overhaul, finetune and/or what other terms you like to use. What is the point of EA if they can't make changes? There is a reason they did not said "release" and instead use "EA". I think its the other way around, you people, especially like you needs to have some kind of description check. A EA bug report button? What are you talking about? The POE 2 EA access forum is for that specific purpose. Last edited by iMirageX#4580 on Dec 12, 2024, 5:19:32 AM

" Honestly, you should just stop embarrassing yourself further. As I said, if you're the one that is there mostly for the endgame, it doesn't mean there doesn't exist literal tens and hundreds thousands of players that'll only play through campaign and then MAYBE return very infrequently to look at all the shiny new stuff that appeared in the game. And most ironically it's those "tourists" who bring the most income for devs. |

I'm somewhat happy to not drain myself anymore due to triggered skills with mana+life cost, but my neccessary extra damage basically is now gone.
Every single thrash mob now needs at least two comets to be downed, if not more.. whereas with the working triggers, it was just one. Just great, now even more "kiting" if you wanna call it that. Being outrun by any foe, unless having movespeed 1000%+ hmpf |

Giving "respec points΅ on such changes is a must.
In fact I start to agree with people that say.. in EA, at least the first half.. respect shoudl be basically free ( cot it to like 10% of current cost) |

" Correct, but if we know these things are going to happen so should the developers, and they should be prepared for them. The kicker here: they ARE aware that these things were going to happen. Jonathan stated in an interview that free resets would be given for situations just like this. Yet here we are. |

" I dare say they will patch it again tomorrow or give change the respec cost to fix this. |
