Please, respect our time when doing such drastic balance changes

How about you roll a new character. They don't need everyone just playing around in maps trying to copy the most recent thing they saw on YouTube.

Being allergic to campaign is a PoE1 symptom. Let's not have it develop in PoE2 as well.

I didnt copy nothing from internet and my build was destroyd, stf
Yeah. Fuck this game. Thanks for wasting my week.

So basically, this thread is complaining GGG is doing some balances in EA? Yeah massive changes in EA? Why are people even surprised? I mean I don't get peoples problem. First and foremost, this is EA and it is labelled as EA and thus EA entails some understanding that certain builds, aspect of the game and other things are subject to change no matter how big they are.

So you want GGG to respect your time and avoid changing mechanics to your convenience? This is really out of place feedback and to be blunt, a pointless one. I think its better for those people and OP to just quit and just wait for full release before playing. POE 1 changes bricks some build from time to time, I mean do I have to repeat that this is EA?

Back in the day, game devs used to PAY people to play test their products. Now, gamers are charged money for the "opportunity". It is a two way street, so, yeah, the devs should respect the time of the players and give a token for a full respec.

After all, handing out a full respec gets players into a new build IMEDIATELY so other builds can be tested. In the way they handled this, some people walked away leaving behind the free labour, let alone the potential purchases they would have made in the future.

Yeah they made a promise to bring everything else up to par.

I was going for a COC build, but you need to do 100 crits on Normal mobs to trigger one 1 second cast time spell. Unique monsters are 20 power, so it is buffed against bosses which leaves me confused at their intent here.

If the argument for nerfs is "It is early access!", then the same argument would dictate that they should grant a free passive respect after each patch like this.

Look I get the idea behind this take, but you're completely forgetting the portion of the community that both

A: Believe in GGG and want to support them

and

B: Don't mind playing an unfinished game if it means they can contribute feedback to help shape it to be the best that it can be in their eyes.

(Which doesn't involve just complaining without presenting any specific constructive feedback on what works and what doesn't, let alone suggesting ways they think things could be improved)

It doesn't forget about those aspects at all. The nerfs have little to do with the "unfinished state of the game". It stops those players squarely in their tracks, so all they can do is say their current build doesn't work. With a respec, they can move on. Personally I would be specing back into summoner right now, but I need 100k gold to do that.

Right, I was speaking about the first paragraph in the post I quoted. As for what you should do with your character, I would reroll. The nerfs have everything to do with the unfinished state of the game, no idea what you could possibly mean by stating otherwise.

People need to stop acting like because being in EA this is acceptable, true EA have bug report buttons, wheres it at in poe 2? Unimplemented, like the host of 100+ skill gems, MIA

So what happens when someone gets a few reroll characters bricked before endgame? How many times through the campaign should they go? This is a potential problem, so, again, passive respects should be given out.

As many players have said, there was nothing wrong with the "Cast on..." skills, yet CoC needs to crit 100 normal mobs for one cast of a 1 second cast time skill. Is GGG watching highlight reels and nerfing anything that looks playable like Blizzard did on D4 launch?

They need feedback on the campaign too friend. I see no issues.

I'm not "allergic", this is my 3rd character in PoE 2. However, I don't wanna feel forced to play another character or build every 2 or 3 days just because GGG decided to nuke something without providing a free respec.

Also, be nicer. We're all just trying to have a good time and provide feedback.

I'm in the same boat and it feels awful to be honest. People are growing more discontented on the forums as the days roll by.

The damage control GGG needs to be doing right now is fixing issues that strip/take-away agency from the player and fixing performance issues. Beyond that, nerfing the living daylights out of a skill only pisses people off and makes them not want to revisit the game again.

They forget that they have a lot of non-PoE1 players here so this isn't something a lot of them are used to having the nerf whiplash constantly thrown around.

I am seriously on the fence of continuing EA. If GGG can't just come out and say "these skills aren't getting nerfed for the next 10 days" then I don't want to build anything at all because they are going to nerf it all and I'll make 50 characters in 10 days just trying to play the game. I'm already getting sick of Act 1 on my 4th character
