Who was POE2 made for?
This might sound corny but I actually catch myself tensing up in my chair and like, recoiling physically when I get a boss down to the last 10% hp and I'm trying to dodge all the attacks. Beating a boss feels GOOD.
However, spending several minutes on a boss dodging and rolling and kiting only for a handful of gold and 1 white item to drop feels terrible. If that happens once in a while, fine. But it's like every boss fight I get absolutely nothing. |

" The game is 100% for casuals and certainly NOT for PoE or ARPG players... your build means NOTHING in this game... the only relevant skill is dodge roll and the builds are stupidly linear and obvious... just pick the skills that are all of the same element and synergize, throw the most obvious support gems and pick the most obvious skill tree nodes and you have a build... So yeah, the game is for newbies that would be unable to think of a good build in PoE1 so they made stupidly streamlined and dumbed down for everyone to make a build without any thinking process... The only reason we are not at level 70 is because the game is ridiculously bloated and unbearably boring and slow... the leveling process is a chore... the game doesn't give any meaningful loot so killing monsters is unbearably boring since I have nothing to expect out of killing them... every fight encounter is stupidly long because they made the HP bars twice as big as they should be... The game is stupidly easy but at the same time it's unbearably BORING because it's slow and tedious and none of it is a challenge... the only challenge is me finding the patience to go through it when the game doesn't offer me any exciting moments of a looter game because it simply doesn't give any good loot at all... Now go type "git gud" in the chat like the rest of the skill-less morons that think they are playing "the most challenging ARPG of all time" and think they've become "hardcore gamers"... The game is very very easy... but also by far the STUPIDEST and most boring ARPG on the market... |

" Basically this. I don't know why the "souls like" and "hardcore" people just can't settle for HC mode or a difficulty setting. Why does every "Base Level" or "Base Game" need to be "maximum souls-like" for them. When you talk against this direction of gaming they just say "get good" or "skill issue" like some pretentious child. Games are meant to be fun, engaging, and rewarding. If you want tedium, slog, and challenge there should be setting to scale to that, not the default. Or, they can go play Souls, Rouge Likes, Lost Ark, V-Rising, etc. ARPGs are loot games with build diversity. |

This is the best ARPG since Diablo 2.
A dream coming true. I've been waiting for this for years. Nice work GGG, dont listen to the whinning people. It just needs some tweeks, but the formula is great, dont change it. |

" Well, GGG wants the Souls-like tourists and masochists because they think they'll get a taste of the Elden Ring money... but they don't realize that these "git gud" and "skill-issues" army will be long gone a year from now and onto the next "hype train" and the GGG devs will be begging us to play their unbearably boring and bloated game... By the way I have no "skill-issues" and the game is very easy for me... making a build is extremely dumbed down to just picking the most obvious skills that synergize in the most obvious way and then throwing the most stupidly obvious support gems on top of them... I quit because I was in the 1st ascension and for the whole trial I wasn't hit once by an enemy... not even once... then I'm at the boss and the boss is at 10% and I hit my space button by accident and I rolled and the boss one shot me... so I had to do the whooooole thing all over again... ONE ACCIDENTAL PRESS OF A BUTTON AND I HAD TO PLAY ANOTHER 25 MINUTES TO DO THE SAME BORING CHALLENGE!!! Sorry but this is NOT a game... it's a job and a boring job at that!!! The game goes out of it's way to suck all the fun out of a looter ARPG... loot is non-existent and anything meaningful drops ONLY from elites, which means killing mobs is even more boring because you have NOTHING to expect from them... and whenever you make a mistake you're punished by having to go through a loooong and boooooring slog-fest of redoing everything you were doing and killing everything all over again which as I said it was boring to begin with!!! This game is a joke... it's just a Dark Souls wannabe game that skinned Elden Ring and is trying to pretend wearing it's fur... |

" Go play a looter ARPG that doesn't offer meaningful loot and the loot it offers is so predictable that the game is unbearably boring... there is no RNG... mobs give NOTHING and the only meaningful loot comes from elite monsters IF (big if) they give you something better than a Scroll of Wisdom and 20 gold... which means that killing monsters is ABSOLUTELY MEANINGLESS!!! Whatever... you're not even understanding what the word LOOTER means... This game is a joke and it's not even in the right genre... Go play Path of Elden Ring... cause this has nothing to do with Exiles... |

" Oh yes, a REAL Arpg player copies some broken build somebody else theorycrafted, buys gear that somebody else farmed and then zooms through the content without bothering to learn the actual game. Actually good players aren't whining here, they're enjoying the game. Only ones complaining here are the PoE 1 players who never bothered learning the game and chose to skip it instead by being carried by better players. |

So far I love POE 2 more than any other game I have played basides WoW in 2004 - 2008

" You know, those half a million players in steam and more otherwise. |

" While this is probably true, you realize that there simply aren't many people that are willing to play Ruthless to lvl 90+, right? Like it probably was made for you or some version of you, but you are maybe a 1/10,000 type of PoE Player. The issue I see is that I would guess 90% of the current players aren't even going to participate in endgame and are just campaign players looking for a solo arpg experience. |
