Johnathan said during one of the podcast interviews that during playtesting poe1 players didn’t care for poe2 that much and was a problem, and part of the reason for the delay.
I don’t have a quote just a recollection of what he said during the interview.

I am still genuinely curious what kind of "supporting" that is where you get mad at someone for LIKING the thing you're "supporting".
Two points to make:
1. Can I beg you to let that go??
2. I don't recall being the person that told the newb to go home or anything of the like -- kind of the opposite as I seem to recall defending your right to speak your mind and offer feedback.

I understand that, and to a degree I sympathise.
What I don't understand is the antagonism towards those who like PoE2.
Apparently we are all tourists and fake fans for liking a game the "supporters" supposed "favourite studio" they are "supporting" brought out.
It started with your ego trip on your first post, and you added to it by telling people to Git good ect.

Probably because you started this thread calling them entitled, and then proceed to say you could disregard any issue relating to gear difficulty or balance because crafting and "your build suck". You were met with antagonism because you were antagonistic.

But I still want to know, because it's a common sentiment I am seeing on the forum.
Where is the antagonism towards liking PoE2 coming from?
In the top 10 posts alone, 4 are about PoE2 enjoyers being fake fans and tourists.

That sounds a lot like they do care about it not being for PoE 1 players then though, like that was a problem that needed fixing

If you want your voice to be heard, try to give constructive feedback about the things you like and don't like instead of trying to dismiss the feedback of others.
Amen. Reading the forums lately, it's like a crap flinging contest with little actionable feedback.
In qc, the process is to identify an issue and explain why it's an issue. I've seen some really thoughtful feedback buried under, "you hate the game" stuff. People seem way to angry, on both sides, for what is basically an open beta that's less than a week old.
