I am worried that GGG might listen to the whiny "game too difficult :(" crowd

"

This guy funded the game
Seems he has more invested into it than you
Yet you seems to tell PoE 1 they don't care about PoE 2

If he invested as much time engaging with the mechanics as money, he wouldn't need to complain about game difficulty online.

PS: Coming with a second account is pathetic. And yes, it's obvious because your 2nd account has the same shitty "can't quote properly" pattern. lol

You don't. That's your issue, don't make it ours. Go play something else.

Right. We the supporters have a vested interest to see that the game succeeds. This guy is just trolling.

Who’s arguing with you? I’m just commenting in a public forum due to your lack of support for GGG your opinion is largely irrelevant. The fact you think buying supporter packs is “whaling” is laughable.

I can't even begin to unravel that pile of poop you condensed in 3 lines.
PS: Learn to quote, please.

Hits 3 max quotes, I’m on mobile to lazy to care. :-) welcome to the interwebs

Apparently not too lazy to argue with people without even having a point.
Go beg mum for money.

lol I have not commented on the difficulty or anything related to poe aside from this thread :-) nice try

Exactly, you admitted you just joined to argue with me for the sake of it.

Which is even more pathetic.

My post must have hit a nerve though, otherwise you wouldn't be here babbling about how little my opinion is worth.

Sucks to suck. Sucks not to be able to whale your way to the endgame.
Git gud.

The game is not really that difficult. Just max your resistances, focus on that first and you will do fine. If you can't find or craft the gear, just trade for it on the trade site if you are playing in trade league.

75% resistance means you are taking 75% less damage. This is a big boost in survivability.

That being said, I think the worst mistake they made was calling this POE2. I wouldnt have paid money to get in the early access had it been called a new name and marketed as a slower, more hardcore ARPG. I would have known it wasnt for me and moved on.

I have a question on that. You do enjoy POE1 right?
Getting a Early access key for POE2 is giving you the exact same currency you use on POE1. And seeing how many supporter packs you own its not like you are never spanding money on POE. So its more like you spend some more money on POE1 and got to try our POE2. Or would you have never spent a single $ on POE1 ever again if they named it... eh... Dark Diablos 1 instead of POE2?

I mean its totally fine if you wound not have tried out the game. But making it sound like you "wasted" that money... dunno.

I wouldnt have paid to support a game that wasn't one I was going to play and enjoy. The currency isnt an issue, if I want currency, I buy currency, I was paying for the extra key (I already qualified lifetime purchases) for my son and to generally support the development of the new game because if you don't support the games you like / want, they wont be there when you want them. To that last point, thats because this is named, and has been marketed as POE2. Not Path of Souls or some other game, its named POE2, naturally that indicates is a successor and I probably want to play it because I like the original.

Had it been obvious that we called it POE2, but its a new take on the same genrea, but its essentially Ruthless mode as a new game, I would have known, not for me, good luck with that but not something I care about.

I'm also yet to see definite commitment from GGG on maintaining and improving POE1.

So as it stands right now, they are reaping in the rewards, while being closed lipped about their plans for POE1, because they know if they say "Yeah, this is the game, and POE1 will be sunsetted" then they will lose a lot of people. At the same time, not being up front it feels like a bait and switch. I'm not interested in this kind of game, so just tell me POE1 will continue to get the top tier support, all the cool features and equal billing to this game, and I'm gone, back to POE1, waiting for the next league.

I've played Ruthless, and for the times when that kind of game play is what I want, I don't mind it. I also don't mind what they are doing here, unless this is all there will be.

I want a fully supported, improved, cool version of these games that works for casuals, works for mediums and works for the elites.

In fact, I want an even more casual mode (and this is likely to be wildly unpopular) but I would love an opposite to Ruthless mode. Essentially, a sandbox mode. Lots of currency dropping. Don't keep the chars, make it ONLY SSF, disable achievs, no grouping, hell disable chat entirely. There are times when I want to experience what that person streaming is experiencing with their crafting and blasting etc, but I do not have the time to farm, or the followers to farm for me.

Essentially, give people more choice to play their way. It's 2024, it is possible to build and run a game that lets people choose their level of fun, experience and difficulty, and to do it in a way where how I play has eff all to do with how anyone else does.

We have a lot of people who are more interested in making sure others suffer than sharing and making sure everyone gets what they want. This should not be about Only Ruthless or Only Carebear, we can have both.
I'm done buying anything until we get some clarity on the future of POE1 and POE2 and I know GGG plans to spend effort on a game I want to play.

Tell us if POE1 still has your top tier support or if POE2 will get a mode for more casual play.
Just commenting on a public forum bud, you shouldn’t get so worked up.

PS.
If you don’t want people to comment don’t post in public.

And you have lost what few marbles you had or brought in the first place.

I think a 500 word essay won't even begin to cover the things you don't know, don't want to know, or incapable of knowing - about ARPGs, POE, (supporter icons), meaningful anything.

Please play more PoE2 instead of proving with every post how insufferable ab ignoramus can be - do us all a favor. After all, your obsession to it is cute in a puppy-love sort of way, so immerse yourself in it.
