Difficulty/Loot are fine
" Did you play Ruthless in POE1? If not, go try that. I'm done buying anything until we get some clarity on the future of POE1 and POE2 and I know GGG plans to spend effort on a game I want to play.
Tell us if POE1 still has your top tier support or if POE2 will get a mode for more casual play. |

No they aren't. They are about 0.1% of what they should be.

Difficulty is fine.
Loot is not. |

I like the difficulty, but the loot is bad. And I've seen people much farther in game than me, and it gets worse, even later act bosses don't drop anything, and maps loot is an enormous joke.

I agree, both difficulty and loot seem fine in general.

Whoa, whoa, what LOOT?! Come on! Seriously, someone on the dev team went way overboard, because this is just bad. The chance of getting anything better than a magic item is terrifyingly low.
ere's a screenshot of the loot after killing Jamanra. ![]() The difficulty level is fine. You can tell it’s a different kind of gameplay, which I think is cool. But the LOOT?! Seriously, DEVs, please do something about this. I’m over level 30 and still stuck using an 18-level weapon because NOTHING decent drops! |

" I did try Ruthless, a couple of times; I didn't enjoy it at all. Melee in Ruthless, in particular, was a miserable experience. I'm enjoying PoE2, though, and I'm playing melee. Beyond both of them being tough, Ruthless PoE1 and Early Access PoE2 are not equivalent. Stay sane, exiles!

+1 also loving the challenge the bosses pose.
Once you learn them, they are all very telegraphed/sound-cued/predictable. Got to maps this afternoon (with 145 deaths and negative res in all but fire :'D ) with my own Invoker cook. My only notes are: - I would like to see a few more rares OR have the rares salvage for 1-3 regal shards, to allowed for more crafting. - I think the campaign map side-objectives could use a little UI love, to atleast provide a clear checkmark when done (instead of 2 shades of grey ;D ) - Dodge roll being allowed to roll through mobs would reduce melee body-block deaths by alot. Also pro-tip for everyone: CHECK THE VENDORS OFTEN ;) Other than that, what a BANGER of a game. 3 days in, and I can say for sure that once 1.0 releases, I'm done with PoE1. " Have you found a blue recently? Because you've got a regal orb there; augment and regal a blue, and you'll likely have an upgrade over your level 18 weapon. I do think that GGG need to think about whether the materials to craft an upgrade are as satisfying as just dropping an upgrade, though. Functionally, they're the same; psychologically, they're not quite. Stay sane, exiles! Last edited by NicknamesOfGod#1810 on Dec 8, 2024, 6:29:13 PM

Both difficulty and loot is almost perfect. I am at the end of act 3 and I am almost full rare and have crafted most of them. It is quite easy to get good gear as long as you do a lot of transmute crafting on whites you pick up and buy. I don't think anything needs to change, except maybe up the drop rate on regals or regal shards a little bit but not much.
People basically still think an item is not worth using if it isn't rare, while blue items give you nearly as much power as a rare does. You can get +3 spell gem levels and +60% spell damage on a blue very easily. Last edited by Kashou#2868 on Dec 8, 2024, 6:29:49 PM
