Difficulty/Loot are fine

lol loot is fine has to be the funniest joke I've head in awhile =)
I don't know why you're trying to white knight for bad loot. Seems a weird hill to die on, as it's very clear to literally everyone else that the loot is most definitely busted atm. Especially in the early game. The difficulty of the game is only being artificially increased explicitly because of the terribad loot currently dropping. Once you get a couple of drops that you can actually use, things get easier...but then you're blasting through npcs at a good clip & getting nothing but white bases & wisdom scrolls dropping, maybe a couple of magic items on a rare (which are as rare as bosses lol) or a boss & if you're exceptionally lucky a skill gem might drop. So the bad loot becomes more apparent the more powerful you become. & That's about it! Everything else is so rare of a drop that it might as well be non-existent. The currency drops are especially bad, specifically because GGG went out of their way to mention that they would be considerably better than poe1 to encourage us to craft our own gear more & to promote experimenting & this is most definitely far worse than poe1 atm hehe. Like seems wild you're trying to defend this hot garbage when there is clearly so much room for improvement. People like you are why we can't have nice things, because you'll always be making excuses for others bad choices. |

Agree that difficulty and loot drop rate is fine as is. I like how getting "good" in POE2 is not about the item, but how you learn the game. The game is difficult, but if you learn the mechanics and try to adopt after each mistake, you can improve and it is even more rewarding than seeing loot-fest which wont improve your skills anyway...
Plus if the loot drops increase, think of how many times you have to travel back and forth to sell them, now that Gold currency is in the game. I find this more tedious than map being larger, or bosses taking longer to kill. Once this happen, it won't be long before we get complain about not having QOL for quick sell...etc, etc... |

" Saying this isn't the retort you think it is. Yes, even the coffee shop ladies should be able to play and have fun if they want to. Who are you to decide they aren't allowed to? |
|
" They are in fact not allowed to have fun. Making a good game with good difficulty means that you have to make the game slightly more niche. You cannot make a game like this and conform to the below average gamer. You have to exclude some people. |

I have mix feelings regarding this. On one hand I'm SSF and treat this game like a D2 expansion so I have no issues spending 30 minutes 1 hour doing mini boss runs. Actually got half a quad stash full of rares, currency, gold, runes by just farming certain mini bosses over and over before doing any progression. I do feel like certain lower tier currency drop chances needs to be increased. I'm getting more exalts than regals and alchs so when it comes to crafting to fill in gaps of defense it can become frustrating

I 100% agree with you, and I hope they don't make it easier because of the complaints.

Even if they were to increase the loot and currency drops it would still be a game that is not interesting enough to be so slow. "PoE2, where the mobs walk 2x faster than you run. And the map pathing looks like the scribbles of a toddler"

It's not really slow at all. The beginning is slow but if you get some attack speed it becomes quite fast quite quickly. Gameplay is pretty fast on my sorc and she has -6% cast speed but using unleash and stuff.
PoE1 is just as slow in early acts. Templar looks like he's got temporal chains cast on him when you try to use Glacial hammer at level 1. |

" You realize second you say "D4" you basically invalidated your opinion here? And I'm not even talking about if D4 is a good game or not... It's a COMPLETELY different game, with COMPLETELY different goals and players. If you enjoy D4 play that. If you want a game just like D4, play D4. If you don't enjoy D4, then PoE2 might be a good option, or even PoE1. But don't expect them to clone a game that quite honestly isn't very good for most ARPG "veteran" players. IGN: SoulCinder

CRAFTING ORBS SHOULD BE RAINING FROM THE FUCKING SKY!!!!
That is the loot requirement for what this game proposes. The real question for me when i need 75% in all stats not to insta die. SHOULD BE .... What combinations of stats am I going to craft. Should i go fire resist rings... or perhaps take lower all resists armour pieces and then,,, Instead its .. I dont have the gear. I don't have the crafting material. My option is to engage in boring unrewarding game play for hours .. to gamble on perhaps being able to be frustrated and mentally drained and win a boss fight, or get an upgrade to something. Start the game, put your headphones on HIGH. Hold down the Glacial Cascade ability and keep it held down for 9 hours hitting the space bar every 2 seconds... just bask in it. You know whats great about Dark Souls. There is no character building or differentiation. There is no gear requirement. Victory is based off repetition. I used the same daggers I started with in Elden Ring for the whole game .. The Great Knife. .... Does that sound like an ARPG ? Bad choices, increase the drop rate 50000% that is not a typo. There wont be a market ... seriously If you were in a casino where the slot machines were on a cool down timer 1 try every 30 min and the person beside you had rank BO, would you stay for the challenge of not puking just hoping for that payout...
