Difficulty/Loot are fine

Eventually ppl will learn they are called Acts and not Maps. haha maps are endgame LOL
Add Scion To PoE2
Definitly too difficult. Even as someone who has played a ton of poe 1 this isnt easy. Its a singleplayer game that should be enjoyed by many. Atleast the acts should. This is more difficult than poe1. Monsters and bosses that are more health spongy yet loot and boss fights are lost on death. Doesnt make any sense to me.

For me personally there have been plenty of weird design decisions that make me scratch my head. It feels kind of like early poe1. Like everything learned has been unlearnt somehow. A big one is the removal of the crafting bench that was there to combat the pure rng nature of itemization. Sure I dont get much useful loot in poe1 acts either but it definitly feels like I have more control over my gear progression there.

Skill gem leveling feels off as well. The game is way more multi skill focused than poe1. Good luck only using one skill here. But at the same time, now I have to choose a single skill to level up. Instead of my overall skill power increasing gradually with me, I have to choose a single aspect of my damage to increase. It just feels backwards.

Progression in general felt more straight forward in poe 1. Get res, damage and life. Now theres no res and life in the skilltree. So I have to fully rely on getting lucky with my gear and rng item drops. A single "random item" costs way too much at the vendors to work as a replacement for predictable skilltree.

Just some of my thought on this game after a few hours of gameplay. It might change after I put more time into it but tbh, its not the amazing sequel I had hoped for, yet. Its definitly different but i wouldnt say better.

I think the loot could definitely stand to be better. The most glaring thing to me though is how you can still get stuff way lower than the enemies you are fighting, and using the hard earned currency to buy a random generated gear from the vendor and the gear you bought cost the same as something presumably on-level, but the item is way lower in level. I was level 40 and got a level 16 item costing 10,000 somehow from the vendor which is ridiculous.

I don't mind enemies and bosses being reasonably hard, but the game has to reward you appropriately for it.

They aren't even people to be honest. Right now the PoE forums are over run by Russian bots

nah, it's the same clowns you can find on the the D4 forum.

They must just want their $100 horse skin in this game too
+1 totally agree

got 4 builds now, not great at gaming, new to poe other than a few days ago, hate souls games, this is nothing like a souls game, great pacing, plenty of gold. plenty of drops to edit equipment and character skills etc, low cost to respect character to try new builds

i suck at games yet im doing fine, its a challenge just tonight i failed a boss 5 times, went away got 2 levels changed some gear and skills, smashed the boss first time returning

people would rather every single boss be one click brain dead easy kills, the fact i had to use my brain and go away to come back and win was SO satisfying to do so!!

PLEASE devs DO NOT dumb down child proof this game at all please, there are many many other examples of click and win games, loot galore drop from the sky, uber items every five mins for the needy generation

jesus being an 80's kid, this game is EASY AS HELL

the current difficulty means my choices actually MATTER, people are asking for all skills and builds to be able to solo all boss's easily, might as well just keep one damage type and for fire just color the graphics red for fire damage and blue for electric but actually they just that a color prefrence,

the game at the moment makes you have to think somewhat and strat about how to approach a boss (oh no you might need differnt equips to get certain boss's how bad of the devs, for god sake please dont make it a game where all choices automatically will win every encounter its far from the days of Ultima online for example or many other old games where skills, equipment and stragety meant the difference between winning and loosing!!

+1 difficulty is on the easy side, in my opinion. People finding it too difficult are expecting it to be PoE 1. It's not, and it feels fine once you change expectations.

Its 100% a skill issue when people say its to difficult. I died to the act 2 boss about 30 times and each time I had to slightly change some things around until it finally all came together. This game forces you to think about every skill and support skill which is nice. Everything works and needs to be fine tuned for you to make it through.

I beat the act 2 boss in 1 try. It is a level and stat based game, so some people simply need to get some more levels and maybe rethink if they need some more damage nodes instead of just bashing their heads against things forever.

It wasn't even that hard. I was maybe 2 levels above recommended.
