How to turn POE2 into a game w 5 million+ players. 2 Difficulty settings
Im 1000% like current game difficuly. If feels balanced.
but I aggree that one shots with 100500 damage isnt too good. Risk of Rain 2 has interesting concept of one-shit protection, you just could not take a single instance of damage that nire than 90% hp... The more I think about that the more i feel that could fit this game. Also imagine some kind of animation when HP ball gets cracked when one-hit protection triggers)) |

" DING!!!! +1000 You Nailed it. And your solution is a very good one. Two levels of difficulty would solve the issue. |

" And that's okay, not every game has to be for everyone. I don't go demanding an hardcore difficulty on the Animal Crossing forums because "it's too casual for me", and the opposite should also be true. Let games be what they want to be, instead of diluting them (and making them lose their spirit) to try and please everyone. There are thousands of games releasing each year, go play them. |

I'm a little sick of this. I'm in Act 3 and frankly, I'm already crushing everything. My pace is quick, bosses don't last long and packs melt. They key is synergies between multiple skills.
I would be willing to bet, if I looked at the characters of those having trouble that: - They have not kept their gear up through crafting, and especially vendors. They likely have not thought about how to farm gold (tip, have tons of Orbs of transmutation, then use them on white drops to sell for much more gold. All you need is more transmutation orbs than you have Augmentation. - All gear should be rune socketed. If you are having trouble getting sockets, always check earlier Act vendors each time you level, that's when their inventory changes. Buy all socketed gear and salvage it. That should keep you in Artificer's Orbs. - Support Gems? Are you really using them? Here I don't mean the three recommended gems, this is limited and frankly, not always the best choice. Assuming your recommended gems are greyed out, because already in use, click all gems, sort by attribute (red - STR, blue - INT, green - Dex), and take a good look. You'll find tons of synergies if you spend some time thinking about your build. And keep all Supports, even when not using them, you might want them later for an alt. - Jewelcrafter's Prisms (I think that's what they are called) allow you to expand your support links. Use them right away on your core skills to allow you more supports and, thus, muck more powerful skills. Remember, it's easy to move gems around, mix and match. - Last, make sure you level your skills. Find a new skill gem, before applying it to some new skill, upgrade you core skills, the one you are using, to the max level available in that Act (lvl 6 or 7 for Act 1, 8 for Act 2, 9 for 3, etc.) Guys, don't beat your heads against walls, lots of tips out there and they really will help. Once you figure out the build that works for you and you find fun, you'll be shocked at how transformative it is for your play. Last edited by inethil#2258 on Dec 14, 2024, 2:15:18 PM

Quicker idea: lower cost respecs and have more support gems drop instead. Would make the game more enjoyable and interesting even if the difficulty remains high. If you really hit a wall you could just respec for the boss fight or cut a few new skills and support gems with little to no loss.

" Lay off with the toxicity. I'm old fashioned, if you are going to say something, make it courteous and helpful, please. |

I don't understand the comments about wanting more uncut gems to drop. I have a tab full of uncut gems. Dozens of support(1-3) and skill(3-14) along with about 15 spirit. This is at level 60 in Act 3 cruel.
I suggested an alternate league for the easier play/casual folks on like day 2. It just isn't appealing to anyone who likes the game as it is. Feeling like devs are compromising their standards if they do that. |
