How to turn POE2 into a game w 5 million+ players. 2 Difficulty settings
" An easy mode could work if it is limited to the campaign. So it would influence less the economy. |

" PoE1 has 90% aprovall, PoE2 in 1 week has almost the double of the rejection in % way. Imagine when the honeymoon ends. So maybe the ppl that are complaining have some point. |

" I thought about this too, if they separate the economies as well, there would be no problem. If not, only engame items would influence player power. Easy mode cannot farm them since there is no higher endgame and should not be able to use them if they decide to buy them from a Normal player __________________________
I like cozy games |

" Lets not forget however that reasonable amount of those is PoE1 players who want to afk through the game like they always did, or kill 5 screens worth of mobs pressing maximum of 1 or 2 buttons. While there is some basis for complaints like access to power in fun way, aka getting enough tools for problem solving there is also a lot more of "this isnt PoE1 or game is too hard because I essentially have no build whatsoever since I refused to look at the skill tree or read gem descriptions". |

Terrible idea. D4 has no Hard mode, only Easy mode and nobody plays that game anymore because everyone got bored of being overpowered in less than a week. I can never understand people who think that the perfect game is one where you can skip playing the game and just get sent directly into the end screen.

The community is so divided two modes seems a good idea from my point of view.
Better have two modes than a compromise that will have both populations to complain. I guess separate economies will be mandatory. |

I think 'easy mode' should be very easy to implement. There are already different economies for different leagues, both seasonal and challenges (SSF, HC) and they have the numbers to change drops and monster stats from normal to ruthless in PoE1, so it can't be difficult to give us something that feels right.
What I love about PoE1 is that I choose what game I want to play. Wanna go zoom zoom pew pew all dead in a click currency grind? Copy a meta build of people who are way smarter than me. Wanna go for a slower game? Just wing your build. Wanna do something weird, like rolling 3 random skills, create a character around that and see how far you can get? You can even do that. In PoE2, even with the best build, you are going three steps forward, two steps back until you give up because of tediousness. I was becoming depressed from playing. I didn't play for 3 days now and I'm feeling way better. PoE1 does the opposite for me. It's a game I play when I feel lousy and an hour later I feel great. |

I think the issue with this is that a lot of the people who claim the game is too hard are also people who have too much of an ego to play on easy mode. So they'll play on Normal mode and keep complaining.

They don't care how many people like their game. They just want to make a game they like themselves. 2 difficulties makes no sense.

" That's a pure lie , create ruthless and enjoy the mod that s all. I don t give a sh** about that , i don t have tons of time , i want to play quietly get loots and chillin in HC. Difficulty is alright if we have loot. No risk no fun hardcore forever
