Even if the population fell to CB levels, if every one of those people were supporting the game and keeping it going, I'd be pretty cool with that.

And that is a very drastic scenario.

^ This. This is why I decry half the shit that people throw at GGG. If you knew Chris' dedication and passion for this game you would not spout such utter bullshit as "they don't care about x".

You would have the perspective that allows you to consider that other factors are clearly influencing the behaviour you are perceiving and that, whilst you can sling accusations of incompetence, immaturity and inexperience at Chris, you could never accuse him, or by extension, his team, of a lack of care and a lack of effort.

I agree maybe I came a bit too harsh and I'm sorry for that. But if anything, the ones who wrote something like "devs don't care anymore" are the trolls.

I understand the angry sentiment perfectly, cutt, and have, in fact, been equally as flame-happy lol.

What pisses me off is people get all up in arms about angry defense of the devs and yet others - like Xendran (who I believe means well, like most of us, but needs to calm down a bit now) - are apparently excused from being derogatory and abusive because of their contribution to discussion around the improvement of the game's mechanics.

Agreed. My 'defense of the devs' doesn't come from 'fanboyism', as the haters so easily throw around - it comes from the same need to see people treated decently that they demand from me. Those of us who get angry and rail at the mistreatment of the devs (assigning ridiculous motives to them at every turn - 'they don't care', accusing them of absolutely ridiculous conspiracy theories, etc.) are marginalised as trolls as if the devs are not worthy of the same basic respect we all demand. None of this behaviour provides useful feedback.

I have no hope that things will change in this respect, hence I resigned myself to casual mockery and ranting as the whim took me. There are some sensible and reasonable people on these forums who can engage in a discussion with a goal of mutual benefit - I know, as they've put me in my place many times. Sadly, most are just out to 'win' and can't see past angry words to true intent. <-- this last point is the same approach I applied to Xendran after being affronted initially by his embittered raging in multiple threads. After reading some of his posts and history I realised I should afford him the same benefit of the doubt that I look for - his intent is the same as mine - he wants the game to be better. Give him another chance, cutt, before you utterly vilify him.

Don't bother responding to the people that are blindly claiming arrogance, as they are ignoring very important context such as the fact that there is good information flow on reddit, yet significantly less so here, and that chris openly said that he himself wants to improve the level of information flow from developer to player.

Also, just pointing out that nobody said that they should update us on every little thing they do. When there are events or holidays that cause them to deviate from their standard schedule, however, it is a good idea to inform your players.

They also clearly ignore the part where encouraging a proper information flow on the official forums is beneficial, so there is no rational reason to be fighting against it, and the use of personal attacks just makes people likely to skip over their post in the first place.

Also, another thing is that I am not one of the people claiming that the devs do not care. I am very aware that they care. What i am claiming is that they are making mistakes with how they are handling the information flow.

I do think the devs mishandle the feedback forums

Chris living, eating, shitting and breathing this game does not automatically make every decision regarding the game and its surrounding media correct.

The reason i am so quick to fully call out behavior that is almost always damaging to a game is because another game that I used to be very dedicated to went down the same road and is now a complete wreck of a game with an abhorrently bad community surrounding it.

Living,eating,shitting,breathing good things to know that the Dev's can still do but can they return to the path of early success? Can they fix the balance between mindless grinding and item finding fun? or is the road getting dim because feedback to me is just a individual holding a light up for the errant traveler to find their way home(perhaps that incr.light radius mod will come in handy).

I will always support this game but I will not always play this game and I will continue to write on the OFFICIAL FORUM FOR PATH OF EXILE NOT REDDITS! SO please Dev's use your forum it is far better then reddit(also I don't want to open a acc on it just so I can think I get my suggestion out there)
