The state of Beta Feedback

.... thats how hooked I was back in CB and really wanted to see this game grow into the best ARPG of all time.

And I regret NOTHING!

POE is a constantly evolving game, so expect balance changes, buffs and nerfs STILL!
In regards to beta feedback, one thing I will say is that I felt pretty letdown by Chris's OB manifesto. It addressed very few issues, only some of which actually seemed pressing to me.

Concerns regarding life nodes, evasion, acrobatics, build diversity, etc went completely under his radar as far as we're aware.

I think it would be fair to say that many of us are somewhat alarmed by the progression of patches since open beta. I personally find it very disconcerting that GGG spends so much effort releasing entirely new skills when very basic aspects of balance are up in the air.

How can you expect people to maintain confidence in GGG when they're concerned about evasion being viable, and GGG spends months releasing searing bond and incinerate without even acknowledging evasion as a problem.

Between controversies like loot systems and maps, we dont really even know whether GGG sees our concerns as problematic, which puts is in a pretty awkward situation. If we're hoping for a change that wont come, I think we deserve to know that.

on topic: ggg kind of raised the barrier for dev to player communication themselves. people nearly went mad over this from a positive perspective.
they have to live with the consequences when they loose momentum.

I posted several suggestions regarding the devs posts on reddit. I find it highly counter productive not finding any link to these posts on this forum and I also dont think its a players duty to collect them.

Alpha is not even remotely close to as useful to GGG as it should be, partially because a lot of people that apply just do it for exclusive content, and partially because the alpha members are not given the tools required to actually test anything properly.

giving alpha players these powers would enable them to spot all op skill combinations and char builds in notime. as they also (successfully) race and play in the leagues this would be unfair advantage.

The people who find brokenly OP combinations with new content but say nothing about it should be removed from alpha.

golem rolls should have never made it past alpha, let alone beta, in their current state

Amen to that.

Just a short notification would sometimes be enough. Like a dev posts in the thread:
"Thx for the feedback. Perhaps talks about 1-2 points of the threadstarter and that's it."

Noone expects them to discuss everything, but I also was considering writing a feedback thread and then didnt do it, because i thought i wonn't be heard anyways and more like to play in the meantime.
Sad but true.

Revelant: The information flow has picked up quite a bit, and i've been noticing more dev activity on the forums lately.
