The state of Beta Feedback

The feedback section is dominated by a handful of posters pushing their same agenda over and over. Do they really need to reply to everything?

should they be forbidden from doing so?

agendas arent necessarily a bad thing... and each of these posters is likely representative of some like-minded subset of the general poe population... it might not be a democracy, but republics are good things too...

not that this assembly has any real powers or authority...
open beta = find the hard problems by numbers, stress test, etc.

geez let them finish the game, they're only fixing desync in the mean time because people can't relax and slow it down while GGG goes about their schedule. they probably work more than 40 hours a week as it is.

Just wanna say -> There a new community manager.

Success anyone?

More things being stated on reddit never migrating to forums: New recipe for quality on gems.

Why is it that things are given out to those who don't use the forums, when those who actually do make valid posts are ignored?
Being closed beta supporters lends a feeling of part ownership or responsibilty for some of us.

There comes a time however that in a games development life (when it is no longer closed beta)that closed server testers become a liability on a developers conscience if things didn't roll as intended.

What most developers do,and indeed it seems GGG has done is cut loose the training wheels that supported it's learning to ride stage.

In itself, this is not a bad thing and we as closed beta supporters need to accept this for what it is ... and that is POE/GGG is growing up to ride it's bike all by itself.

It's us that need to move on from the relationship.

Beta feedback and beta general will soon be a thing of the past altogether, wether POE is ready or not.I believe GGG at this stage of development no longer has much use of beta feedback forums as they start to see their vision of POE becoming a reality.More attention from GGG will probably be spent in the bugs forum from now on.

As closed beta had to come to an end,so must open beta and with it so will relationships built up over years. It's just the next stage of development is all.

While I understand where your coming frmo and agree your points do make sense, I still feel that a dedicated location for reporting of feedback to improve the game is something the game does need. Currently the beta feedback forum is getting worse (a post on reddit spawns 3 seperate topics in the same few minutes all saying 'gcp crashing game broke its all over'). The actual solid defense posts like pneuma's used to be more common and more intelligently discussed. Now its just masses of 'latest thing that has been heard'.

Other locations are not as suitable for in depth discussion and feedback points, for example on reddit I know Moos has personally tried making posts. He makes a good point, it gets downvoted and never seen. A week later, it is the 'hot topic' and everyone is upvoting similar posts but his was ignored a week earlier.

This is why a forum is important, but this one is badly maintained, and with the developers clearly focusing on other places (with a few good exceptions, such as Qarls very insightful post on his balance perspectives, with more to come from him).

uh...GGG didn't officially release it on reddit. Doesn't even look like a dev responded to the post. You can't blame the devs for other people releasing information on reddit. The recipes are up to us to find and do what we want with them.

I think since this post things have been much better and I haven't seen any nerfs/buffs discussed there before here like what sparked this thread to come about.

I am here to give you feedback about your feedback in the feedback section about the feedback section. This is redundant.

Wasnt the recipe told to the people in the PAX meeting?

http://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/1ip4iv/melbourne_meet_greet_a_prophecy_was_written/ no mention

http://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/1iqu6s/interesting_things_i_heard_at_the_melbourne/ posted 23 hours ago, just mentions "the recipe" sounds like it's unknown when written.

http://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/1irr27/new_vendor_recipe_lvl_20_gem_1_gcp_lvl_1_20/ posted 13 hours ago.

Real Wolf is citing this as an example so if it was posted earlier here the point is moot. Also if the info was discussed at the meet up that isn't a bad thing either. Those people get insider info for showing up for the meet up and everything they heard will either filter to beta or be thrown out.
