Im so glad i played diablo 4 i wont ever talk down GGG
" Plenty of arpgs out there - at what point do you reflect and think that maybe, just maybe, you're burned out? Or that the things you want PoE to change aren't as popular or perfect as you think they are? Pretty much every opinion on offer about how to make the game better would make it worse for some other group of players. |

" we're in poe forums many poe players tend to hate d4 with unhealthy amount of conviction. personally i see d4 as d4 and poe as poe. its meant for different people, simple as that. [Removed by Support]

" If you know of any ARPGs with regular content expansions like POE does, please let me know i'll go and try them on the spot. If LE's development wouldn't crawl at a snails pace i'd play that over POE a million times over but as it stands the content is hardly enough to keep me busy for a season nevermind a year or longer. As for popularity of the things i'd like see changed, i can at least say they are in the top 5 of the most complaint about things since the beginning of this game. Sure it's just the loud minority complaining but i'd doubt even the silent majority would be opposed to stuff like Qol (my biggest gripe) and useful (not valuable mind you) loot. |

" expansions, is tough. POE has a lot of money behind the company. but if regular updates with new seasons, i can think of 2 torchlight infinite and warhammer 40k inquisitor. between the two i prefer TLI. that said d4 might be adopting poe's implementation of leagues. i think d4 will go further than d3 since this time blizz can see the monetization potential. Ggg have their fair share of fuckups but even when I disagreed or disliked their choices the game remained playable and entertaining. Miles above diablo 3 and 4, from where I'm standing.

" For QoL, the devil is in the details. For some people, automated trading is the QoL they would like to see, but for others that is not something we want. Another example would be an autolooting pet; also controversial. There are definitely some mostly universally liked QoL things that I hope you're referring to, but it's hard to say since QoL is too broad a category. There are things that some people think are a given, but GGG has made a development decision not to do, and those people assume it's because they've not gotten to it yet when in reality it will never happen. As for useful loot, that's a problem that is hard to solve. Not because useful things dropping is obvious, but because useful is relative to your current equipment and is a moving target as you get useful things. To be more specific, you have a garbage pair of boots and you find something better. Now you're next improvement is better than the boots you just found. That will quickly become exponentially harder to do as you find improvements. There has to be a point where you are happy with what you have because the odds of finding an improvement is astronomically low. That being said, finding things on the ground that are improvements early on should be easier than it is today. Thanks for all the fish! Last edited by Nubatron#4333 on Jun 27, 2023, 8:15:37 AM

" I've never understood the opposition to automated trading especially from 'normal' players. It only benefits the ones running extensive bot farms where everything is already automated. They're the only ones who will lose their monopoly over trading if trading becomes automated. I believe they're the most vocal in their opposition and have even gaslit the whole community into believing that automated trading is bad for everyone. |

" Full launch? Doubtful. Open or closed 4.0 Beta? Very likely. "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

" While i do think that an AH would be better than what we have now i am not really thinking about that when i say Qol as it kinda exceeds the framework for me. I'd already appreciate minor improvements instead of everlasting silence. Like consequent currency stacking. Why for fucks sake do i have to click 150+ simu splinters when running a 100% deli map? It's a feature that's already in the game why can't it apply to the most extreme cases as well? Why can't there be a at least hotkey to accept trade requests? Why do i have to fumble around with that damned chat window while being in a simulacrum/boss fight just to accept a trade? Nevermind the next point which is getting back to hideout since in many cases you can't even use portals to get out of special arenas. Why aren't there bench/beast crafts for many mods/mod combinations? We have a benchcraft for 6 links which is great, it means i don't have to click 1500 times on my god damned item to six link it. But then i want to get 2 x tier 3 mods of a certain kind on my flask i end up spending half an hour on it. Never mind other crafting shit like essences etc. Honestly, the main reason i dropped crafting as a game mechanic entirely is because it's so incredibly tiresome to execute. Knowledge is fine, i'd have the money but i can't be arsed to pull the lever a million times manually. As for loot, it's again about middle grounds. Your chances of dropping entirely average basic gear is ridiculously small already. Like 50+ life and 2x 30+ resists on an item is already about the best you can realistically ask from the current loot system and even that is absurdly rare. So no matter where you are progression wise, picking up loot isn't worth it. If you are at a level where this basic stuff is useful then you won't bother because the chances are so low and if you are at a point where you need good gear you can ignore drops entirely because good items CAN'T drop, it's literally impossible for most slots. (talking about rares here in case it isn't obvious enough) Best case scenario you get 1 or 2 stats which you can use as a basis for crafting but a highend or top end item dropping is not possible. The stats/stat combinations you want on those items typically can't even appear on loot. Last edited by Baharoth15#0429 on Jun 27, 2023, 9:35:05 AM
