Just saw the price of that d3 remake.. called d4.. 69 EURO fkn standart edition??

I mean clearly you didnt see the almost 500 usd packs + loot boxes + season pass this game has..

but ok if 69 euro/usd bothers you so much as p2p you got used to this "free to play" model.. that sells you QoL and you happy buy it and more.

I still haven't spent 70 euros on PoE and i've been playing since ambush lmao you guys huffing some big copium if you think GGG rice us that badly for QoL they sell like 3 tabs that are actually important and regularly do stash sales.

Not surprised D4 is coming in that the top price point tbh it was never gonna be anything else, a combination of console price point bleed and frog boiling have lead to this being the regular price for a game and i'm sure Blizz will already have the peripheral extended sales lined up for a battle pass and some kind of expansion content.

Sadly it aint gonna be £30 here you go like the D2 days :p but thats the case universally at this time for anything made by a large studio.

Oh cmon selling stash space and QoL, by intentionally designing the game to be anti-player in order to monetize them, is pretty low. Let's not get that confused.

Imo, the currency, map, and fragment tabs should be free, and at least one additional premium tab so you can trade. But that would cost them too much money, which tells you all you need to know.

I think GGG gets way too much of a pass holding QoL for money, and then "supporter packs(which lol)", gamble boxes, battle passes, pricey cosmetics, and leveraging trade on premium tabs.

Again I've spent a ton of money here, but I'm not confused as to what is happening lol.

Exactly this. There's people here who conveniently gloss over the 40-60$+ mtx armor. The 20+$ PER wings. 15-20$ to re color a skill.

And that's not even talking about the years of predatory loot boxes, and now the battle passes. And of course the QoL tabs you have to pay for including the character slots, and the premium tab needed to list trading.

Oh and the supporter packs that go for hundreds of dollars AND phase out in hopes you get fomo and buy them.

Poe is currently worse monetization wise then what's been announced for D4 so far.

op is mos definitely onto something here. d4 and blizzard should be condemned for charging industry standard prices on their games, even moreso that theyre price gouging new zealanders an extra 60 dollars for the same game

blizzard needs to understand why poe has become so successful over the years. not only did the gameplay supercede the original game, but ggg's pricing models have been on point, most notably the fact that this game is f2p. this means that players dont have to pay a single penny and they can totally enjoy the game as-is without suffering from any disadvantages whatsoever. furthermore, you can see from the mtx shop the great looking skins and theyre quite affordable imo. my personal favorite mtx is the harmony set, with the body armor being only 500 coins, or roughly $50. now i technically also need to buy the helmet, gloves, wings, etc for a full reskin, but it goes to show that you dont necessarily have to buy the entire thing if you just want individual pieces to mix-match the look and feel. and as for the lootboxes, whoever gets broke from these deserves it. something needs to pay the hamster to keep ggg going after all
