im kind of lost at some comments ive seen mocking d4's gameplay. because "peak" gameplay for this game for almost the entirety of poe's existence involved running around with a character that was bigger than your screen, killing things you cant even see because your character model is so big.. and then occasionally dying somehow from something offscreen

skill issue
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Isnt that the truth. The worst part of PoE is actually the gameplay. The theory-crafting, economy, building, etc is the fun part. Then the rest your basically a catfish, scouring the floors of maps, running break neck through them like your mowing grass occasionally picking up pennies to trade with later.

The actual minute to minute gameplay of PoE is definitely not one of its strong-suits.

Dude exactly, this has been my gripe with poe for a long time.

Crafting is deep (op imo but that's for another time).
Building your character is fun, especially at league start as you can very easily see and feel upgrades.

But actually PLAYING the endgame? Boring as all hell. Mapping is just exploding screens with your chosen skill, the difference between normal mobs and map bosses is almost nothing, and all you're looking for is currency so you can BUY the items you want for your character.

Poe can have all the complicated systems it wants, but if the loop is a clicker simulator while you wait for currency drops, it doesn't matter.

hahahaa

reviews say that D4 is like a sh!tty Korean MMO

You need to do useless emotes to progress hahahaha

Imagine an end game where you need to do emotes
Look how Awesome my MTX Marauder RF looks

We don't need to imagine...they are called simulators.

Sims is a good example, and Sims is being played by a lot of people...

Your pathetic way of throwing hatred here and there is literally childish.

The crazy part is that IMO that's not the actual worst part of POE by far.

There's been plenty of times where I had wanted to get back into gameplay and start playing, but realistically couldn't before it felt like I had to do hours of tabs cleaning and massively tedious trading just to get started.

IMO, the worst part of POE is the trading experience by far. Don't get me wrong, I still prefer to have trade than not, but IMO this is what they really need to fix with POE2, and I somehow feel like that's not what they're working on at all.
$70 USD for a game is not bad, considering I've spent over a thousand dollars on POE over the years.

but with that logic the game could cost 500 dollars or more and still not be much because you spent over double that on poe?

It's also given that they'll change the game drastically with patches once enough copies have been sold, just like they did with d3, and not necessarily for the better.

I'll definitely wait before even considering buying this.
