Well, I certainly got enough info to at least, technically, understand the issue. However, I can't say that I agree with the whole thing. I still think it's just FOMO and greed; as a result players are shifting the blame to the devs. A classic "not my fault...."

Either way, here we are. I look forward to the new drama 3.20 will bring.

Hey, if you dont have any goals other than play purely for its own sake, that makes you an outliner, not the rule

Devs created a way to play that obsoletes the remaining of the game for everyone that is not like you(and again, you are an exception). Tunneling the way to optimize the game towards a single direction is bad design, not taking into account that normal people want to have a direction when playing is plain retard for a creator. Its ABSOLUTELY devs fault on every way you see it outside of your "i play with no goal in mind" bubble
My vote is to never get rid of MF. Model as much as possible from D2 LOD.
Nobody cares whether it is a problem.

But GGG was shocked that many players left this league. So GGG started thinking it is a problem.

If you can make us love this loot system, GGG may keep it for you. LOL
You have to stop playing the game.

You either (1) get a mob to 10% then switch your gear, awkwardly, mechanically, to get specific stats from trash gear, or (2) hire someone.

These are horribly unimmersive either way you.

There, thats it.

Well, unlike you I extensively played this league and tried different approaches towards magic find myself, forming my own opinion on that matter. Can't say the same for the majority of players on reddit and these forums brigading against magic find now that ArchNemesis is considered solved.

I wouldn't expect otherwise from a community that is mostly regurgitating whatever the current "hot take" is, though.

Extensively tested the league, "Clicks Profile", Characters hidden.

HEHEHE. Sure you did :)
They want a younger audience; not people with sideburns and an affinity with tax returns.

Sideburns guys with lots of money like loot goblins?

And young people with skewed risk/reward mentality don't like risk goblins?

What point are you making here and what sideburns movies from the 80s are you watching?

Seriously, how is one's own choice to give in to FOMO (fear of missing out) the fault of the devs? This applies to any game not only PoE. I look forward to the answers of people far more intelligent than I.

I'm gonna try another explanation.

Let's assume the calibration of the appropriate levels of drops in POE works like that (just an example, but it's probably not completely off):

On average, GGG wants 100 players to acquire 100 divines per 1 hour of gameplay.

Prior to the loot goblin, everyone gets 1 divine per hour.

Introduce the loot goblin, while maintaining the levels of drops (as stated by Chris):

One player gets 20 divines. All other players get 0,8 divines (simplified).

And now imagine beeing the one of the 99 who doesn't utilise MF... you simply lost something. That's why people give in to FOMO.
without any MF gear i am able to drop one divine orb from those loot goblin, and given the area is delve so that not much IIR from area mod.

It is way too unfair for people just drop 10 Divine by specialize in MF culling and split the profit with map owner

I think the answer is way simpler. MF was always a thing, and never a problem. It has been unchanged for quite a while and I think what happens here is a two-fold thing:

1. The very aggressive changes to loot and loot-conversion take away basic drop-chances that are not tied to league-mechanics.
I really don't think this is an actual problem, because many people were in fact farming specific things like breach, legion, etc.

2. With the all-consuming debate during the last months MF was put back on the radar of a lot of players who wouldn't have even thought of it without the discussion. Sort of like media sets agendas, this was a thematic agenda-setting.

Mf was always a thing, I never used it. I barely played 3.19, never went MF and ended up with a full build, 38 challenges and 75 divines leftovers after a week. U don't need MF, u can make currency without it just fine. But with every discussion repeating how much u might lose out with not going the importance of is further promoted.
