Monster Mods FAQ

Seems this is a buff...
As long as rares remain more powerful than the Boss of the map the system will make no sense.

They need to either buff the shit out of map bosses or nerf rares heavily.

Right now you find rare mobs that are 10 times more powerful than map boss.

The map boss should be the most powerful monster in a map. Right now you just run to the boss to one shot it and get ready for altars and tuff rares... this is totally unbalanced...

Does this mean I'm forced to play Magic Find all the time now?
If you're able to sacrifice character power for magic find then, you'll find more and better items. That was true before 3.19 and is the nature of magic find in Action RPGs. Note that magic find has diminishing returns, so a small investment can go a long way.

so the loot nerf stays.. unless they make some changes to crafting the gear progression will stay awkward. will wait 1 week to see how this all plays out
👍
That's the idea. Go with a Diablo 2 system that just works. It's about damn time.
("We're currently playtesting) the new monster mod system to determine this. At the moment it's 2-4, but this may change as we continue to iterate."

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

You are having a LAUGH!!!!

WE will playtest this at launch, as always.

Really hope this works, and we the player base don't continue to diminish in numbers because of "The Vision"
'Under the new system, they will get life, experience, item rarity and quantity bonuses per additional mod.' This sounds really positive.
Reading this FAQ. Just makes me feel like we are back in beta again. And GGG is just using us to test the next bunch of random ideas. And they assume we are all just fine with it. GL all. This game is now forever locked in beta mode.
The simplification of the mods is a really nice change. But have you considered to make mods specific to mob type instead? This will eliminate the player having to hover over the mob to know the mods and can tell immediately just by looking at the mob. Or use special effects that are tied to the mods to visually indicate them (e.g. a burning effect for 'can ignite' mod).
Thank you GGG
