D4 Monetization leak = GGG can safely push POE 2 to 2026 without any worry at all
" Right... so everyone playing those games are just "tolerating" it and dont actually "like" it. That's some massive presumption, based on nothing, because you feel a certain way about P2W. "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

" I agree with him. While I'm not "principial" enough to stay away from good games just because they are MTX-based F2P games, I very much prefer the standard upfront, non-F2P model. That said, I think it's very hard to sustain the development pace GGG is doing, without the game being either F2P or subscription based. Sure, they could charge a small sum for each expansion, but what happens to those that decide to skip a league? Will they have to pay double the league after? :P Which leaves you with F2P or subscription. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" Which is fine. Totally entitled to your opinion. Its not about agree or disagree here. I was just stating that it seems very presumptuous to label an entire industry on your personal feelings. For example I've spent well over $3k on PoE before I stopped supporting them. There is no other game in the P2P arena, with optional cosmetics, that you get there. Do you really think I'm concerned about a couple hundred bucks at most on D4? Not a fucking chance. Hell GGG has some wings on sale priced higher than Elden Ring...(or whatever your favorite P2P AAA game is). I mean c'mon "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

" Did you see the leaked prices for certain MTX prices for D4? In addition to being a AAA prices game? "I mean c'mon". Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" Again I dont understand why it's ok to spend hundreds or thousands (or whatever) on cosmetics, because its F2P, but a $60 initial price point invalidates further spending? Can you clarify why this "in addition" bothers you so much when it doesnt appear to be about the quantity of money at all? " Everyone? Where did you get that from? I said the more pople hate P2W than love it. |

" imagine this. you buy a car for 10k and when you go to driver window pops up do you want your seat heated ? for 10$ Yes/No. ( bmw started doing that btw) thats not ok for most ppl. so when a game do same shit then its ok ? |

" Based on what exactly? Anyways it's clear we disagree. The numbers dont support that (very sucessful P2W games), but its impossible if you are just going to invalidate it with people just "tolerate" it. That's un-quantifiable. "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

" That still doesnt answer the question. You are willing to spend thousands on optional mtx in PoE, but the initial D4 $60 is a gatekeeper for you on their optional mtx? That's baffling, truly. And in your horrific example, the PoE comparison would be that you get the car for free. You try to open the doors but they are locked. Salesman says well it's still driveable, you can either climb through the windows or you can pay me extra for keys. I don't see how this matters. It's all cosmetics, they didn't go pay to win. The real question is if they pull off the gameplay. I'm guessing they won't.
