D4 Monetization leak = GGG can safely push POE 2 to 2026 without any worry at all

Neah d4 will be a total success...Like every game from the franchise...It will slowly decline and it will be seen as garbage in probably 1 year...By that time Blizzard would have already milked ya all and move on with it.

If GGG had the same fan base and the same numbers they would have milked you out of the bat also.

Outside of the mount and the box price, that largely looks like cosmetic monetization.

Yeah, the mount undoubtedly gives an in-game advantage but it's a one-time purchase that you keep permanently presumably, so just treat it as part of the upfront box price.

There are a lot of layers of monetization for sure, but of all the avenues they could have gone down, that's really not that bad.

I won't be playing it though, so my opinion should carry less weight here.

PoE is one of my favourite games but I hope that D4 will be fantastic!
Because a strong contender means that GGG will have to try hard.

That said D4 will sell no matter what by brand name alone. Even if it is a complete turd like release D3.

Whatever it is, it's a one-time purchase -- at least until the next expansion where they add a class or act. People will know that going in. That value proposition will be available to understand before they make the purchase.

For me, it's greater than $0 so I won't be partaking. D3 wasn't so long ago that I forgot.

So what exactly is new here?We knew they gonna sell overpriced cosmetics like GGG does,since they want to support and continue making seasons instead of having another D3 on life support.

As long theres no actual p2w i dont care,cant really avoid cosmetics these days in games,everyone is doing it.Time of buying priced game and no shop in game is over,so as long theres no p2w is fine for me.

Also people going "bUt DImOrTaL HaD p2W"well yeah....different market...its a mobile game,did anyone seriously expected a decent game on a mobile platform????99% of games on mobile are cash grabs

D4 was restarted 2 times if i remember correctly and in years of development and they cant flop it because of choice to make it like DImmortal.

I know some "Blizzard/Diablo boys" in here are very critical to the obnoxious prices in the PoE store, even though PoE is F2P. I wonder how they will react to the same prices in a AAA priced game. My guess? They will find some stupid way to be OK with it.
