Of course you can see the difference, the point is, why does that actually matter to anyone since it's all optional mtx?

The initial $60 purchase is the breaking point? Spending far more than that on F2P, into the thousands in some cases, is ok as long as you dont spend a fractional amount upfront?

THAT IS BIZZARE.

BuT pOe iS FrEe..."ends up spending 100s..."ggg gives season pass"WhY dOeS iT MaTtEr,iTs JuSt CoSmeTiCs,StOp BeInG PoOr"...overpriced cosmetics...tab buyings...

But blizz is bad for wanting upfront paying for the game and optional cosmetics. Also knowing blizz they can actually make free decent armour set and transmogs to use instead of looking like wet rat in PoE if you didnt buy any sets

It's just fanboyism. PoE is as bad as they come with the MTXs. Just look at some of the armor for sale. even on sale "Harmony Armor Pack" Is $80....so that armor costs more than D4 will...and that's on sale. Not on sale its $100USD.

But yeah, that $60 base price is the tipping point lol

I don't get it... As someone who has played PoE for nine years and has never played Diablo 3 and hasn't had any interest in Diablo 4... This video just makes D4 sound fine, good even.

I honestly don't care if a game like this has cosmetic MTXs on top of an entry fee, if that means the MTX sales encourage the devs to continue putting out patches and updates, rebalances and meta shakeups. Now I don't expect there to be free content updates, but assuming the money made from MTXs just keeps the game alive and interesting, great. That is of course assuming that they actually do that and don't just end up with P2W elements with no updates.

I hope the game is good just so GGG has some real competition. They've been making some bad choices of late in my opinion.

No.

The principle is the breaking point. When I pay full price for something, I expect to get access to the whole product. MTX shops in AAA priced games are just straight-out cash grabs, and I don't particularly like cash grabs.

How anyone can dislike the F2P model, while being OK with AAA priced game with in-game MTX shops is very strange to me. Not saying that is you, but still.

Absolutely not. Certain prices in PoE are outrageous, no one can deny that. The problem here, is that certain prices in D4 seem to be (almost) just as outrageous - in addition to the AAA price.

Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

The OP conveniently cropped the video after Force said "There is no way to accurately GUESS the cost of the MTXs, based on these surveys, if they are real"

He is guessing, these aren't even the real prices as far as we know. So yes, the OP is fanboying.
I will support ggg any day of the week simply because their supporter packs don't sell any gameplay advantage.

You get to call "fanboyism" if someone presents to conflicting statements both favoring one entity and not just use it as a buzz word.

God damn reddit logic...

And if the prices are just as bad? Would it make a difference to you, as the game is already full priced and don't have to rely on MTXes at all, unlike a F2P game?

Still just optional, both PoE and D4 will be the same for mtx in that way.

Although one could argue playing PoE totally F2P is... well it sucks.
