Four reason i think Diablo IV migh have the edge against poe(2)

D4 looks mediocre (from a pure technical point of view), its just that on average theirs a tendency that basicaly every ARPG has dated graphics compared to what is possible at the moment. So its more like D4's graphics are less dated than its competition. Blizzard never released a game with top notch graphics anyway, its not what you do when you try to target as many people as possible because most PC's cant run those graphics.

About creativity in Blizzard games. Blizzard never released a new concept or revolutionized a genre. They always take a existing concept and polish it. Nothing wrong with that but it means that we cant expect something radical or experience changing from D4 that will bring ARPG's "to the next level".

Talking about monetization, I wouldnt be supprised if you can use wow tokens or exchange them for D4 currency and be able to buy stuff like faster leveling or specific types of gear (or a chance to get some gear) with it.

I know that I am appearing agressive and hostile, but I just cant wrap my head around people who genuinenly expect something beyond mediocre from modern Blizzard. There is absolutely no ground for that, their latest releases were awful or average at best, with 0 original ideas, their MMO has been getting one weak expansion after another, they have been caught in a massive, disgusting scandal that lead to many people (including key developers) leaving the company, and yet you people wait for some kind of miracle. And let's not forget how much they "respect" their audience, with their developers claming that Diablo Immortal will not be P2W before release and that you wont be able to "buy gear" with real money...
How much crap do they need to feed you, how many times do you blizzard fans have to be spit on by blizzard before it finally gets to you?? I am honestly at a loss at this point, how can you cling to something without any ground to stand on.

And i cant wrap my head around people who seem to only act negative to everything Did you get old and lose joyment of video games? Did Blizzard hurt you by making games you dont have to play and can easily just ignore?

Im not here to talk about any other blizzard game anyways, just wanted to have a chill conversation and give my thoughts about Poe vs D4 like so many other people seem to.

You can find several forum posts about how Blizzard and Diablo IV sucks, i think you would fit there with your toxic negativity about a game you dont know is good or not.

Blizzard have proved over and over for the last 10 years that they have no integrity. It would be nice if D4 was the game that redeemed them, but I personally have no faith in them at all. We already know it will be a full price game with microtransactions, so I'm out. I will not participate in the modern gaming paradigm. If you have MTX in a full price game then it better be updated in a similar way to POE, but lets be honest, it wont be. You will get a few full price expansions, people will probably be bored and leave after a few months like they did with D3, and it will be abandoned most likely.

If I'm proved wrong then good, but I have 0 faith, I will have to be won over. Blizzard is dead, it is just Activision wearing it's skin like buffalo bill. Maybe microsoft will change them for the better who knows.

Hell even go beyond gaming. What major company, that's publicly traded and has shareholders to answer to, is beyond reproach? Apple? Microsoft? Nike? Oil companies? Meat/Food distributers?

I think the faux outrage and consumer naivety is quite egregious. Dont like Blizz or their financial and monetization strategies? Fine. Consumer choice and capitalism.

But dont bury your head in the sand, toss on some Jordan's, bluetooth your iPhone to listen to some music, jump in the Mustang to gas up at Shell, and then head over to McDonald's for a quarter-pounder, because, well you might want to consider what you are "participating" in.

I dont do any of those either, and this is whataboutism, cant complain about one specific thing, because of all the other terrible things. Ethical consumerism aside, a large number of games dont have these problems, and if they do then I will source them for free or not play them.

Blizzard are worse than most of the industry, not because they have the worst examples (diablo immortal may cross that line though honestly) but because they normalise these practices. Overwatch normalised lootboxes to a large extent amoungst core gamers. WoW normalised low effort expansions with no balancing, and game mechanics designed to drip feed content to keep people subbed and grinding even when it isnt fun. D3 normalised being unable to play single player offline, and tried to normalise RMT.

Hearthstone, WoW and D3 (before AH was removed) are all pay to win games. For some reason most people give them a pass and get on the hype train from a few trailers and promises. Wait for the reviews from people you trust before you buy into their scams.

Blizzard games are no longer by gamers, for gamers.
They're made by CorpoRATS for just more money and we'll see more of it with MS taking over. Just look at AoE UHD menu and AoE 4 and you'll see how bland and generic their designs will go.
While D4 sure has its appeal in looks, depth is not a word I see describing it.
Of course, it's all debateable until after release.

For PoE I wish there was more optimization. This stream of graphics let them put models with widely varying # of polygons, but I believe it needs more levels of quality (not just high, medium). Things can look good on low too.
More options for various aspects (e.g. mobs quality, player MTX).
If you want people to buy MTX, at least make it look amazing both on you and others on each graphics settings.
Asking people around and seeing how their PC copes with PoE makes me certainly not go and buy better hardware.

D4 will be another epic fail because they only know how to do grab-cash games with a total lack of imagination and game depth... after few months they will release new Add-on with the paladin... few months after the Paladin a new add-on with the Necro etc. we know well the song :(
