I get that as well, but one shot. THis is not uber elder or cortex boss, or maven or whetever...it is a freaking exarch blue mob. Nooo doesnt matter, this is so wrong =/. As i always say players getting this far should feel abit more rewarded and safe, specially on a blue mob.

I get your perspective as well. I know there were multiple factors involved here and abit unlucky, but when he gets truly frustrated with his dead and highlits it and pins the comment saying " it is really bad "...then sure is really bad.


There are things that are not great this league, and with POE in general in terms of spike damage, but I'm not sure this is one of them. Your build is only as tanky as your weakest link. I think Ziz had -30 chaos resistance, which isn't terribly tanky. Then he added chaos damage to monsters.

You can make a Superman build, but don't be shocked when you die when you add the mod "All monsters hit with additional 30% of physical damage as kryptonite"

The game will find a way to hit you with the thing you're vulnerable against. Ziz ran headfirst into the weakness of his build and paid for it.

It became clear that GGG wants chaos damage to be a massive threat.

In that regards Chaos Inoculation is limiting design space and becomes inherently broken due to chaos immunity.

We shall all share the same difficulty right?
My suggestion is to remove the chaos immunity from CI.
Instead Chaos Damage does not bypass energy shield and life is set to 1 would be enough.
As much as I like dunking on the Archnemesis BS, this death had nothing to do with it. Deadeye has basically no effect on blue enemy damage, it's mostly a defensive modifier. This was almost certainly caused by him blindly clicking on altars. The enemy itself did a trivial amount of base damage as you can tell by what happens to his ES, it's the extra chaos damage that he added to enemies without the resists to handle it that killed him. This was a justified RIP, people need to read the altars.

Edit: Somebody also mentioned in the youtube comments he had the 25% increased damage taken per alter node on his atlas passive tree.

I've seen this around and on reddit and can't really work out why its a thread, if you run around with negative chaos res you usually get popped by something.

Likely candidates are plant pots or chaos shotgun but #1 is the chaos using betrayal nobs, Tora, Aisling, It that Rip'd me etc.

Like do I think its a little overboard that they do this much damage? Yes because its chaos damage but chaos damage is rare for a reason guys and has numbers appropriate for its rarity when it isn't on an alter, he chose this nothing more to it.

If anything I think the game would be boring if you didn't get punished for this type of decision making, 90 maxres is already something I never thought they'd actually let us run around with for the primary types.

I agree on this one, that we stop with this immunities. Cause it is just plain stupid and balance game around normal resistances and max resistances instead. ANd remove haste auras from the game.
