Looool.
This is unbelievable.
People give suggestions to make the game more rewarding to self finding and crafting, moving away from trading.
And you drop the 'knowledge bomb' that all increased orbs would do, is up the price of traded gear to match the greater drop of orbs.
Well, newsflash, dude, the return from crafting DOESN'T adjust to counter this, and you know, the whole point is to NOT BE REQUIRED TO TRADE.

Good christ...
WOW = REWARDS FOR SKILL!???!!?
What the fuck, I repeat, What the FUCK are you smoking in that pipe of yours. WOW is literally easier for ANYONE to play than friggin' minesweeper! It doesn't require even the tiniest amount of skill to play. No optimization, no thinking, no brains. Just grind the shit out of it and you'll get to the "end".
You are the biggest troll in history. And these are the guys who are telling how PoE should be redesigned? As in Shao Kahn's voice: Don't make me laugh.
PoE might not be skill-based but then again, ARPGS aren't _supposed_ to be skill-based.

It is not my fault that your WoW experience resumes to killing wolves or other small critters in the up to 20 free trial :))
Even the easiest dungeon heroic in WoW is more skill based than PoE. But hell, I don't expect you meeting the requirements to participate.
No need to mention Normal raiding and Heroic raiding, do I? You'd probably cringe all night in shivers&cries of horror after some WoW boss kicks your ass for weeks because you don't have yet enough skill.
Not enough? Let's add the optional achievements that make you kill bosses in a certain, difficult way.
But then again - this is a privileged experience I don't expect people like you to ever enjoy.
And then, there is PvP, but others touched on that already, so...
Now, just to put a cherry-on-top, I'll add open-world PvP in questing zones. Mouthwatering, isn't it... you won't be able not even to kill those wolves without fighting some other human.
But no. Disregard all these - and why not? You're just another hater, who can't see clearly, your hate is poisoning your mind dude.

I would like to see more currency drops and more rares. Also, more large chests!
Maybe even a mini-game where you get a kill counter on the side of your screen like:
0/1000
Each kill gives you points:
Normal Monster = 1 Point
Blue Monster = 2 Points
Yellow Monster = 2 Points
Boss = 5 Points
When it reaches 1000, you get some loot rained down on you. Would make grinding a little bit more interesting.
That's a pretty cool idea. Both for the regular game and as a race. For both, just make it so that the mobs have to be, say, within 1-2 levels of your character. The ladder for a race would be empty until the first person gets the 1000 kills, then the next etc...

I would love this.

Minigames are a cool way to lessen the grind boredom, but they need to be a bit more involved. I remember Hellgate London had a nice one, you get three random conditions on your lower right, for example "kill 8 necro enemies", "kill 15 enemies using fire damage" and "pick up 6 melee weapons". Once you fill all three conditions you get a drop of random gear and cash, and three new tasks.
***
And about skill, it could matter in this game if not for bloody desync, that's why there aren't any real glass cannons here, you WILL get hit sooner or later, no matter how good you might play. So just pick good skills, stack defense and pray that you stacked enough of it, the challenge here lies in making a good char, not playing it. Not saying anybody can just jump in and play WoW like a hardened wowlifer but it doesnt really need much besides game knowledge and some experience, like most mmos out there.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

They could easily increase drop rates or rarity without effecting currency drops...

Correct, currency would be less valuable for trades.
Currency would thus be used how the game was intended, IN CRAFTING.
Does not take a rocket scientist to figure this out. Since you apparently understand so much about economics, you should then understand opportunity cost.

Making a "harcore game for hardcore players by hardcore players" was always going to lead to the community throwing a shitfit at any change made ever - because 'hardcore' means different things to different people.
