Can Path of Exile compete with Lost Ark and Elden Ring?

A proof would be nice!
Atleast your definition of pay2win. PoE is pay2win as well, even if its "only" the stashes which gives you an advantage...oh wait. You cant play poe without the stashes. Greets and an amazing League start or a nice start in LA. |

" Nice hot take that you might have seen on Reddit. LA isnt pay to win. You can't pay for power or items. The most you can do is speed up progression pace. You cant "win" anything in PvP with money. It doesnt need to compete, it only needs to suck in enough players for the first month of the league like it does now, and then people switch to the other games till next league starts.

" The LA has monetization. Pay to skip. Can I upgrade gear for money? Yes. But you need a lot of money. Can you do the same without money? Yes. That's pretty much it. You can't "buy" any content, you need to have the skills to do the mechanics of the game. Money will only help you get access to activities faster. It's the same like POE, can you do maps without the map tab? Yes, but it's a chore, i'd never play POE without the map tab. There you have it, stop crying now. |

" The biggest question here, is: Can you pay over and over again to get more/faster benefits? Is there a cap, like in PoE, where spending more money on tabs don't give you a benefit anymore? Will these purchases benefit ALL of your characters forever, like in PoE? Will a player ready to spend $1000 get a lot more benefits/faster progression? And, is the game F2P? Or is it a full-prized game WITH P2W? Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Jan 19, 2022, 12:00:32 PM

I plan on playing Elden Ring. Depending on how good it is might be the difference between 50 hours and 1000.

" I'm not trying to convince you to play a certain game man. Do your own research, there are more reliable sources, like streamers. I'm just a random guy on the internet who thinks LA is as p2w as POE. Play what's fun for you. And yeah, LA is gonna be f2p, same model like POE. |

" You seemed to know a lot about it, so I asked you. Now it seems like you don't want to answer those questions, which is OK, I guess. But depending on those questions, I think your comparison may be pretty unfair. Anyhow, I would probably step aboard the LA hype train if it was an ARPG. As it's an MMO, I fear that you HAVE to party up with people to do certain things, beat certain bosses or do certain dungeons, which is a total turn-off for me. Maybe you can answer that fear too, with a "yes, you have to" or "no, you can do everything solo", but then again, maybe you refuse to answer - and refer me to the internet. Who knows. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
