Can Path of Exile compete with Lost Ark and Elden Ring?

Like i once said, let's see where it is in 4-5 weeks or in 6 month. I jumped on New world and enjoyed it soooo much but than i simply didn't log in anymore and if i had not seen a video about it on YT recently i would have forgotten I own that game.

It took to the sky's like a rocket ready to head to mars but than crashed on the moon. They recently had like 28K players online. That is a disaster.

Lost Ark I really never followed. Didn't watch news / or videos about it.
I knew a bit because people brought it up but six days ago when I saw the add on steam and i was like "ah , let's check it out" bought a founder pack , jumped in and..... i really enjoy it. It's new, different and it keeps me logging back in.

I really like the changes POE has gotten to the Atlas tree etc because i can play and focus on what I want but at the same time, when I logged in to POE this morning, I didn't even start a map, closed the game and logged in to Lost Ark. It's fun.... for now.

the premise is moot cuz people bounce between live service games all the time, and elden ring is a different game entirely.

the more accurate question is will lost ark and elden ring kill poe?

no...of course not...

these three games are each in completely different genre's of video games. if you drop poe for lost ark, it's cuz you were looking for an mmo. if elden ring instead, you were always looking for a more open world-ish type of game akin to dark souls and monster hunter.
