POE is ACTUALLY dying not the drama queen kind, but the actual kind... From Developer Hubris
" What? Crawling trough dirt? How can you judge something you have never tried? But I guess you can go play templar, should be a safe bet, trying something new would be to much work. |

" Ye, just life+res no influenced items BS. Nice and simple. I got to T16 maps on my second league playing a scuffed gruthkul's pelt gladiator, cause I thought the armor looked cool. Try doing something like that now without insane investment, lmao. You can't pick a random unique with a random gem and just play, no crazy/weird builds allowed unless you're someone like MBX who's playing this game for a living. Sometimes I wish there were private servers for PoE like there are for WoW where we'd be able to play older patches :/ Last edited by rzuk892#2901 on Nov 20, 2021, 12:18:15 PM

" Not just any crawling through dirt. Crawling through dirt like a dog. As for the SSF experience, it's very easy to emulate. Just don't trade. You'll find it's very aggravating sitting in stagnation, or having gambled and ended up with nothing. As for my character choice, I lean towards the RP side in ARPG. Each of my characters has a theme and a name and a purpose. And, when I first started this game, the templar was the only character in any recent video game I'd seen that the writers would actively speak about the glory of God, though later writers would change the story. My characters have purpose and are cherished though that's only because I endeavor even in recreation to have my purpose be reflected in the things I do. Yours are expendable and forgettable. " Love the optimisation on your tree but I think OP's point is you've spent more than I have on every league i've played in... which is alot to do the same damage I did in Ritual for 2ex. Now its perfectly reasonable to take the view that its exactly what they were trying to change, but its a huge difference to many players to go from the ease of access they had (knowledge based though it was) to version we have now. I agree with the OP but only half way, I really like the defensive buffs we got this league and they've enhanced my enjoyment considerably but offenses still feel like absolute shit for most builds. They needed to make bigger adjustments to the overall game when they crushed dps as well as closing gaps in outperforming skills. |

" I agree. You actualy need to think and plan. But you can plan a easy and powerfull path. And I think that why so many people love the game, it has depth require thinking. You dont need to do this for a living. |

I have to say what stopped my character's progression in its tracks is when I saw a great price on my boots, bought them, and went to delve to get my socket crafts. I spent a few hours and started getting upset that I hadn't found a single socket craft yet. So I then I thought I better find out if anyone else is having this issue, and that's when I found out they moved the socket crafts, gated them behind certain maps.
Oh, boy was I pissed, I needed those sockets to fix my gear so I could do the higher level maps which were not unobtainable because to do those maps I needed the socket crafts. That's when I started wondering who at Activision Blizzard started working at GGG. |

" This is not true, but I value other things than you. Like memories from leagues, the good and bad things that happened. But I do not have any value of the characters when it come to the RP. But I do cherish the moments and memories i have in each league, the work i put in and the issues i solve. Last edited by Downfall89#2050 on Nov 20, 2021, 12:29:11 PM

The second issue with the game is vast, and I mean oceans kind of vast knowledge that's required to do good in the game. Your character matters very little compared to how important it is that you have in-depth knowledge of the game. Path of Matth did a Zero to Hero the other day, and his ability to gain so much currency mid-league is purely out of his vast knowledge of how the game works and what you can and can't do.
I was watching Grimro crafting a Stygian Belt the other day. He did in less than 5 min what it would take me an hour to look up and do, that is if I even knew you could do the things he was doing. The Devs refuse to put in the game the tools new players need to compete with those that have been playing for years. This of course keeps the long-time players on top and keeps the new players on the bottom, it's set up to favor one class above another. Last edited by Valkaneer#5171 on Nov 20, 2021, 12:34:30 PM

" Because league is bad and people only care what league has to offer, they dont care about core game. |
