Its not PoE dying. Its league being bad. You know league is bad If GGG decides to give us events during league.

I love this game, more than d2. There are some changes i would do, but not much.

I'm sorry but do people not see the problem with that? It's much healthier to give players more options than to artificially try to extend content and player retention.

Your anecdote about OP being a "vocal minority" has already been disproven multiple times with other people posting statistics whether it came to the Harvest manifesto (and the amount of POE players I saw playing LE at that time) or 3.15 global nerfs or current Scourge league.

When it comes to China I'm not saying I agree with them or anything because that country has a million different problems but the fact that they recently limited online play to 3h/day or something says a lot about how they view the effects of long-term gaming on their society.

I don't mean to digress more but would also like to point out that the world is becoming more expensive with rent and mortgages and food etc...people are working more than one job to get by. Now it's next to impossible for only one partner to support the household unless they're a doctor or lawyer or high-skilled trades person.

Sure, I can agree with that for the most part but there is only so far you can push the envelope before people throw in the towel.

Look at the state WoW is in and has been on the downfall for several years now (far before the sexual harassment stuff came into light). Blizzard is notorious for constantly making the game more difficult and time-consuming for players.

But ya, definitely all these issues are just a vocal minority of people. Let go with that.

I'll say this . Know your limitation at the game , settle for the piece of content you know you can do easily and don't give a damn about other players , who can do things you can't . The game experience will be much better this way . A personal example. When aurastacker was at his peak , i made a Guardian and managed to die with him , twice in the same ,Sirus A5 , encounter . Not because the game or the build sucked , but because that fight was beyond my skill . In other words , I sucked . Still do . But hey ! I have lots fun this league , blasting entire screens of mobs, with a cheap build , on low tier maps.

I really want to play PoE, but every time I make a build it gets scuffed in early maps, if I even make it that far. Why? Because I don't follow the one path that can do the content.

I've been playing since 2012. You used to be able to just grab some life and some damage nodes and throw on some armor gear and you were all set. Now if you try and do that you don't even make it into maps.

Why have you made this game totally unenjoyable to play unless you are doing the ONE class per league that makes it so you can play like how you used to be able to play years ago?

I just want to go back to the days of the atziri patch. The simple days. Back when posting "buying all high value uniques / 6-links 15% undermarket! Get exalts now!!" in trade chat was a thing. Back when there was always four or five "417iir/126iiq dom farm!" parties on the group board. Damn, I miss those days.

Now what do we have. An absolute shitfest where you rip in the mudflats unless you're using a meta leveling skill. A game where once simple intuitive selection of skills and tree points WORKED. Where there wasn't sweats doing thousands of excel spreadsheets finding the ONE build that lets you feel like you're back in the old days again. The days when a VARIETY of builds were PLAYABLE. When PoE was actually FUN and not a fulltime JOB.

Please GGG, you're killing the tried and true of us who saw the original plan and stuck with you to reach it. Now you've dragged us through the mud.

I guess it's always inevitable that the majority of the OG's in a always changing game like this end up booted out.
