POE is ACTUALLY dying not the drama queen kind, but the actual kind... From Developer Hubris

Obviously it wont ''die'' as drama threads suggests, retention would be better if GGG condensed all the bloat and unnecessary complicated mechanics that require casual players to read guides or youtube tutorials excessively for basic stuffs (i guess they're doing this in POE 4.0)

POE would benefit a lot from quality of life updates that otherwise makes the game feel outdated ( e.g a modern inventory size and not the ancient D2 inventory size).

As for the future i believe a huge spike of players will reinforce once POE 4.0 is released but i have the feeling Diablo 4 will be the leading isometric ARPG for at least the first year after its release.

Right.....Just like Overwatch 2 is a new game and not a patch. Or Diablo Immortal isnt pay2win. Or WoWs next xpac will actually be good....Or HoTS, WC3R and SC2 weren't abandoned after the failed at esports....

Lets talk about the Bioware/Rareware/Ubisoft effect and what happens when all your original devs are no longer with the company.

But you know, this response isnt surprising when you know that people still buy (and continue to get anal clapped over and over) games from companies like EA and Activision.....

I bet you buy FiFa games every year. Dont lie.

PoE was good bac in 2013/2014/EARLY 2015

Remmeber when legacy Kaoms was one fo the best drops
When Binos was god tier
I could go on

I dont even remember the login to my original account (lets be real I sold it a while ago).

D2r while being 20years old is just simpler to play and BETTER. Loot, while runewords kind of broke the game still exists and makes sense.

All PoE now is a bloated, convoluted game full of mechanics (most of which I hate, see crafting). I dont know how they strayed so far away for the original vision (imo). I came here in closed beta not too long after d3 launch and this felt like the true successor to Diablo2.

Games dead for me. Tencent getting in on it couldnt have helped this game at all. I do truly feel like there is a disconnect between what most players want -> versus what these devs deliver.

And to top it off, theres so much bloat that you pretty much AHVE TO BUY THE SPECIAL TABS. I remember at one point I didn't need them, but I bought them because I wanted to support this game.

While they've done a lot since 2013, most of it to me isnt beneficial. More clutter, more useless shit I wont use. Everything is useless. Rarely do I find something im going to use, I have to trade for everything. Just forget it, not even excited for this launch and ill probably just play d2r.

Adios

I think the only thing I can remotely agree on in this post is that there are alot of unnecessary drops. It would be nice if more rares could drop that you can equip but crafting my own gear is a better "chase item" than farming currency for a mageblood. There is no other game, that I am aware of, that enables you with multiple systems to craft your own gear, giving you more opportunity to better your character. ESPECIALLY with the new eldritch crafting system, which has basically engaged "easy mode" for new players attempting to craft. Not to mention the absolute feeling of satisfaction when you can say "hey, I crafted every single piece of my own gear"
Sometimes the boat needs to be steered in a different direction and you have to try new things. GGG hasn't always hit the mark but they do make corrective action if the player base isn't pleased.
Good luck in getting transparency or community feedback from Blizzard, like you do with GGG, their community interaction is an absolute joke.

How about items drop that arent actual trash? This is a looter/arpg if i wanted to craft id go play some dumbass mmo

Diablo 2 R is so good! So many people are....

wait....

*checks player count and friends list*

Games so good, almost no ones playing it! Go figure.

*Checks Twitch*

Poe: 20k viewers, vs D2 9k...

Games so good, so many people are watching it get played!....

Even Virtual Chess is more popular that Diablo 2..... Go figure.

Omg you children..Then dont play! What does it matter what other people say? You playing for other people? Other people put on your socks and shoes for you to? Its simple, if you like the game, play. If you don't, play something else. Pretty crazy right??

You have no clue what you are talking about.

Playing a tanky ele with 5mil ignite dps, off meta only like 10 other players playing anything remotly similar on the ladder no problems with content at all.

On top of that its the most profitable league for solo player since forever, even more than sitting in discord trading harvest crafts in 3.13. 20 or more EX per day is easily archiveable for everyone. Its nuts.

Yeah im sure thats so enjoyable, make a discord and spam your craft youre trying to sell every 5 minutes and hoping someone buys it..then if the craft bricks their item hoping they pay you instead of leaving.

And without a huge timesink its pretty difficult to get an off meta build past 2m dps..thats why it feels worse. Meta builds are broken and take little to no investment for damage
Have you done duplicate checking on this post? feels the same in every 3 month....
