2: The grind

1. Game balanced around trading (heavy rng not fun for SSF) + terrible trading system (hours lost to wait for sellers).

2. Visual bloat. Beyond the first acts, there are too many effects on the screen and I don't understand why I am dying or not.

3. Bazillions of unidentified drops. Manually identifyng is pointless and that prevents filtering on stats, which would be the only way to deal with the high rng.

Poe = a lot of great stuff burried below some terrible anachronic features.

I'll list one: Lack of diminishing returns makes the difference between "good enough" and "wow" way too great.

1. Badly optimised, from clutter screen to frame caps and finally to optimization between how the game should be and how it is.

1. GGGs balance team.
2. Unrewarding time spent. Seriously after playing D2R again its impossible to go back to this game. Stuff is rare in D2 but not rare enough that you cant find anything. Stuff is either worth nothing or ultra rare that you will never see it. Services and flipping are the way to go in PoE unless there was a super profitable farming strat but most of those have been killed off.
3. Visual clarity. Cant see anything in this game anymore.

3 downsides to PoE, posed in adjectival form:


1. Disappointing -- No one yells "Tenebris!" when they use a shield bash;

2. Deficient -- The game doesn't have a shield bash, only a charge and a throw;

3. Derivative -- "Heavy strike" is mostly just a copy of D2's skill "Bash".

I mean, you only gave me 3. It'd take me at least 30 to really get this pot stirring. And that's ignoring the ones Support would have to remove.

Disregarding your grammatical tyranny, there seems to be a few common denominators;

Clutter
Difficulty spikes/unbalanced content
ROI, game feels unrewarding

Been playing since beta on and off.

Recently came back to PoE after a year and a half and my downsides seem to haven't changed. Inb4 auction/market place is unethical. And while I was happy with PoE back in the day. It seems shit has gotten severely worse.

1. Unethical to have a market place for at least maps/currency yet seemingly ethical to be scammed by numerous bots, and spent an hour of gaming time on a third party site trying to get a real trade.

2. Too much shit added to the game, I was fine with every other league added but it seems like literally EVERY league since I quit has been added, far too much shit in the game now.

3. Still hate Lab.
