Your top 3 downsides of POE

1. RNG Crafting
2. RNG progression with map drops
3. RNG drop system making farming unviable.
Not in a particular order.

1. Constant item changes, making it really hard to actually collect anything when there are so many versions, not limited to unique items.
2. The insane bloat of all kinds of league mechanics stuffed in a single map, all giving just scraps of things (splinters etc, which you usually need 100 each).
3. the requirement to go to town every time you need the basic currency exchange with the vendors. Also logging into town instead of hideout. I don't care about other people's mtx.
1. The disgusting mechanic of trading
2. Quality>Quantity
3. Uninteresting league mechanics
4. RNG for crafting
5. The end game process is too slow
6. RNG for mapping, RNG for drops
7. Chris "vision" is outdated and out of touch
8. Doors
9. Portal/wisdom scrolls (ffs remove them already, we are not in 1990's Diablo era)
10. The in game armor is ugly
11. Too many stash limitations for the F2P players (you need to spend hundend of money to play the game with QoL features)
12. Chris "vision" (oooops i daid it before but still...)
1.Too much loot and 90% of it is trash not worth picking up. You don't get excited when picking and identifying a new gear piece because you know it will most likely be garbage. In Heist League I identified couple hundreds of jewellery and didn't find anything of value so I figured it's just better to save your time and nerves and vendor them for alts and then sell alts - imho, it says a lot about the state of the loot.

2.Devs keep gating good/enjoyable content behind less enjoyable content. Want to get to the beef of the game (mapping)? First you have to complete boring acts. Want to Delve? You need sulphite? Want to do Heists? You need contracts. Want to farm Sirus? Well, too bad - because you will have to kill conquerors every time. You can't just stick to the content you enjoy because every activity has some sort of 'paywall'.

3.Balancing the game around 1% top players who play this game like a job.
*Trading "system"

*Click feast

*Continue patches. I prefer old school D2 approach, patches every 3 years or so.

As a 4th minor thing, crafting. At the start was great but currently there is no reason to farm anything, just craft perfect item or trade for them. Too many deterministic crafting imho. It ruined the game spirit.

1- performances
2- generating way too many useless items nobody would ever care for
3- SSF (splitting an already smoll pop... lol!)

1 - xp loss on death
2 - no automated trade
3 - no optimization

When these 3 things are fixed I swear to god I will reinstall the game and give it a TRY. And maybe, just maybe, if I'm impressed I buy a support pack.

Until then, all I'm doing is coming back to the website and forums once in a while to see if anything changed or is about to be changed.

There are many more than just these 3 issues but I want to stay on topic.
"my eyes are open, yet the nightmare continues"
1. Crafting: Crafting system needs changes to encourage more people to craft.
Basically, crafting is more RNG heavy early on and more deterministic when endgame crafting.

2. Quality of life issues: The game is in desperate need of QoL changes.
This include simple things like tooltip updates, deathlogs, better mod descriptions et.c.
Game also needs mechanical QoL changes like making certain currencies drop in stacks et.c.

3. Uniques: Unique items are extremely outdated and in need of a revamp.
Historically, majority of uniques in the game was designed to fit certain roles.
Some were build defining, some were just good overall et.c.
Nowadays, uniques are garbage for the most part. They're not even attractive when leveling.

I believe GGG should make a massive unique items revamp and redesign, while also increasing the rarity of uniques. Make more items build defining and most of them just stronger overall.
Obviously, rare items will still be the best in the end. But dropping uniques should feel good. Most of us just hide 90% of uniques on our item filter.

1. No combat or death log
2. Too much graphical clutter on the screen obscuring ground effects
3. Long retry time on bosses gated by rng
