Same problem here, live in Brasilia and been having this issue since yesterday.

So sad, when I finally got some day off from work I couldn't play because of server issues.
My day is ruined and my disappointment is immeasurable.

you can install no ping for free for 7 days, it fixed for me, giving IBM/GGG some time to fix it

yeah because it reroutes their trafic meaning it's an ISP routing issue.

However looks a bit more expensive then NordVPN as far as I can see.....

According to the ISP the issue starts after leaving their network, did you check the tracert logs posted so far or read them?

But I'm pretty sure it's an ISP problem (NET) because I tried with another ISP (TIM) by Wi-Fi (tethering from my phone) and, even using a crap Wi-Fi USB adapter, the ping with TIM it's ~60ms

But how would you explain the issue starting once it reaches their network only?

Exitlag fixed the issue for me. Playing from Manaus using NET/Claro ISP.

My normal ping is 65 ~~ 75
Ping now w/o exitlag after the issue started a couple of days ago 190 ~~ 200 ms
Ping after I tried exitlag today 75 ~ 80 ms

Definitely a routing issue then.

If you try exitlag you will still see the high ping in the login page. Pick brazil anyaway and your ingame latency will be normal.

Make sure your exitlag is setup properly.
Tested Exit Lag. Results:

Went from 150 ~ 160 ms to 30 ~ 40 ms with occasional lag spikes (and in game rollback) to 160 ms.

Not perfect, but playable compared to no Exit Lag.

It seems there's nothing ggg can do since it's not their server's fault.

But the question is: whose fault is it and what can we do about it besides paying for Exit Lag?

There is no such excuse as "I can't do anything". Major companies that rely on internet services have contacts with all major ISPs and Tier networks for this type of problem.

Specially because their services relies on good internet. I work for a major bank and my teams have contacts with all major networks even the ones that we are not customers, but if OUR customer is somehow suffering because some problem in a tier 1/2 network or ISP we can talk to them and work together to solve the issue.

Knowing this is without a single reply for over 48hs is just just poor customer service.

Yeah ... I don't. I was discussing this on Reddit and the OP there was pretty convincing when telling me that the problem is with IBM/GGG infrastructure.

Or, it could be more than one problem (with NET/CLARO and with IBM/GGG). I still don't know. But, after all this time, GGG already have to be clear about it because other server are facing the same kind of latency problem.
Same problem here. Noticed though that in hideout/rogue harbor, I always get 130-160 ms, but some rare ocasions, on maps or heists, I get a normal ping a 30-50 ms.

What does this tell you guys?

From what I can tell (by my own experience, by some research about how this is supposed to work and by chatting with some technical folk I know), probably the problem is with GGG servers at BR.

And worst, as zug0 wrote on Reddit, GGG has no feedback on the servers' health (if is down, is there is some issue with them or even if they are working to get the servers back) that can enlighten us about what is happening =/

I think we just have to wait and pray for someone at GGG to work on that and get the servers back on track.
No changes yet

ISP is also waiting any word from GGG
Same problem
