Censorship is on the rise @GGG-Tencent

So, this time indeed I did reach out and contacting GGG support via email as instructed by a mod who decided to choose for me where the thread should be. If you do pay attention to the last thread you'll see in fact the general discussion is the appropriate section because what's being discussed in the thread is solely on the focus to inform as well as communicate with the PoE community, and not directed toward GGG as "feedback"


Let's find out if in fact they're going to move back the thread after reaching out to them or not.

Personally, I care less and they can censor their audience as much as they want if they believe that's the best way to milk this product as much as they can with whatever years it has left. They look at their data and they believe the best way to deal with losing more supporters is to censor the rest rather than use resources and deliver when being exposed.

When they're choosing to censor me they're also censoring you, because they're preventing information reaching out to you. These forums are where their audience is and the last place where it can voice and share their opinions, not only with the company, but with the rest of the community, and if this is the approach they're choosing to take it only means that the best years of this game are gone, and it seems my prediction indeed was accurate when I stated how it won't be relevant within its own genre 3-4 years from now.

Currently, they're tactic for censorship is to move quickly threads they find "damaging" for their market to be informed with to the feedback section. Censorship has been on the rise over the years and its not just with GGG-Tencent, but the internet as a whole in North America. Any place that gains a lot of attention is becoming more and more censored, because attention means money, power and influence.

The best way to get out of a bubble and be less censored is to inform yourself more of what else exist out there while you're still not fully censored, where that too won't be an option. So, the first step is to have alternative search engines, because most likely you won't be able to "google" most of them in the foreseeable future.

Finally, these are the threads that were moved within seconds, at the end when you read them, that is again if you are fortunate to not be censored, you'll understand better why GGG-Tencent is using this approach.

Wait...are you complaining that your feedback threads are being moved into the Feedback and suggestions section?

That's no censorship. That's keeping the forum ordered. Those threads still exist and were subject of active discussion by community. Had you been censored, those threads wouldn't exist, and had GGG went Chinese style, neither would your account.

Their forum... not yours. You can't censor your own forum. I'm surprised that they're still allowing you to post your nonsense.

GGG doesn't care about people like him. They only care about p******* and r*******, as well as anything they can conceivably link to those things.

And that's where questions about their ownership come into play as well..

They censor you because I told them about you and what you're all about.

Yeah, that's not censorship -- nothing's been deleted or removed from view (wish I could say the same, but I guess they just assume my words are somehow dangerous enough that they need to be actually censored). And your feedback is FAR more likely to be seen by a GGG staff member in Feedback and Suggestions than in General Discussion, because that is the exact purpose of that board. But IF a person's main goal is to be seen by other users and provoke incendiary community reactions with clickbait and egocentric diatribes, then sure, their stuff probably belongs in General Discussion.
