If anyone "loves" this game the most, it's me...

I've been its most vocal critic...

Good thing I don't use steam, because if I could see the hours I've logged on it, I doubt anyone would surpass that. Still, I can't claim I hold the record in most hours spent playing the game since I didn't play it for a year total from around 2013 and between 2014-2015, and yet I have not seen a mirror :)

If anyone wants this game to grow and succeed it's me, which is why its indeed sad to witness the things that's been happening to it these past years. When you see a potential for something great and then wanting it to become revolutionary, but then only to witness its destruction due to mostly short term profits, and then a series of some poor decisions, it's why this industry has been in this state for too long.

I am truly sorry my lovely community that you are stuck playing generic F2P games. So many players have hopped from one to another within the years, as they quickly lose interest. I purposely try to stick to one mediocre/bad game regardless what's the next shiny that comes, because I already know how much better at the end that would be compared to what I already am playing.

Producers need to understand that if they're going to release something to the market, it must be more than 5-10% better of what already is available. Without a big shift in the way games are produced and managed I don't see this culture changing. I mentioned Star Citizen in the last thread and some were finding that funny, still I do not ignore anything that takes a decade to develop with a budget of at least hundred million.

I appreciate anyone within this industry who's risking/sacrificing/investing, etc. significantly more than most, and more and more will start appreciating that because within the last decade that has mainly disappeared. I do want to hear that there's ambitious project being worked on for many years with a budget that many AAA games had between 2000-2010.

This game it's not going to get better and start receiving significant support if its primary interest is selling MTX and more or special tabs of convenience. I said once Chris Wilson needs to make a sacrifice, and the type of sacrifice I am talking about is things like to eliminate all the MTX and stash tabs with the launch of Path of Exile 2. Those who've supported this product and bought MTX/tabs etc. will still receive something special based on a tier of support they've contributed, and that will be clearly something special and distinctive, better than the hundreds of MTX that exist now to the point most don't care what else is going to arrive.

I see, a valentines thread, happy valentines day poe game. Hope others join me in best wishes too.
Spreading salt since 2006
I enjoy this game, build variety is fun but only to a certain point. Regardless of league mechanic ingenuity, declined quality and cookie cutter meta has made the game feel rather soulless. GGG needs to find that spark they lost a few years ago...
