Had to Cancel My Diablo 3 Pre-Order
" Isn't it reasonable to think that if one doesn't like the first 13 levels, then one probably won't like the other 87 (or whatever) either? How much of the game must one force oneself to play before being allowed to voice one's disapproval? :D What have you become when even nightmares fear you?

" And PoE lets you play offline... how? “God put me on this earth to accomplish a certain number of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I will never die.”

" Path of Exile doesn't cost $60. I don't know why that's hard for people to get. |

Also, Path of Exile isn't a sequel to a already offline game franchise like Diablo was.

" So why are people telling that: "Path of Exile is true successor of Diablo 2" ? Truth is that people dont care if its online or offline. They just want to flame a game. |

" How does that relate to the argument of "always online DRM". Both games require an active connection to play. The cost is not the issue. “God put me on this earth to accomplish a certain number of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I will never die.”

" I guess we should all live in caves because our predecessors did so? Times change. Diablo 2 was 12 years ago. We are more connected and online now more then ever. Get used to the idea. Also, Blizzard ALWAYS considered Diablo a CO-OP game before anything else. They do not consider it a single player game. “God put me on this earth to accomplish a certain number of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I will never die.”

" It sure is to me. If I pay $60 for a game that I intend to play in single-player mode, I'm not dealing with any server down time/errors or whatever EVER. And what happens when the server drops your HC character? Also, what happens should Blizzard ever bite the dust? Say, their next MMO ends up a big ol' flop? And "OH THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!" isn't an acceptable answer. The likely answer in these scenarios are, you're shit out of luck. If it's free, however, who cares? You get what you paid for. " I wasnt convinced myself. My first experience with D3 beta was "this is meh" at start but decided to give it more time and thought played through took a look whats possible later etc. Gave me enough reason not to dismiss a game over minor part of it without seeing least half of it. IF i had played WoW up to level 13 and dismiss it because of that id sure be silly since endgame is where the "real" game starts. Theres a diffrence between saying "i dont like it" and "its BAD" and by no means im not forbidding anyone from having an opinion. I just dismiss some arguments based on pure speculation. Think we can both agree that gaming market is changing to me for worse but you either move on or get left behind. |

" Well there's your problem. Why would you want to play Diablo 3 in single player mode? There is no such thing as single player mode in Diablo 3. All your points are relevant to PoE. How does not paying 60$ make any of your issues any less an issue? You're telling me because you didn't pay for PoE that you wouldn't care about server maintenance or your HC character you spent weeks playing die randomly to a server hiccup? And about Blizzard going out of business as some kind of valid point... lol. It's far more likely that GGG would go belly up long before Blizzard ever would. Blizzard is an established company with a track record of releasing the most anticipated titles on PC ever & breaking sales records in the process. GGG has yet to prove themselves. They may come out a winner and stick around, or they could disappear in a years time from now. Time will tell. “God put me on this earth to accomplish a certain number of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I will never die.”
