new elementalist and golems

Nerfed Golemancer, deleted Heralds... in "fixing" the Elementalist, you screwed the 2 most popular Elementalist builds.

This. The more I think about it, the more of a failure this rework is shaping up to be. Maybe someone will come up with new bonkers elementalist builds but it doesn’t make a lot of sense to throw out existing ones (by that I mean they’re better with other ascendancies).
We're all in this leaky boat together, people.
There are too many carrion golem builds in Heist league. It's not "healthy" from a marketing perspective to see so many players on the same builds so it's likely they want this to stop and I totally agree. The auto-resummon is AWESOME QoL for players that actually use a chaos golem for phys reduction and stone golem for regen. At least they can now make sure it is ON when they need it most, in the toughest encounters where they always died to soon. Primal Aegis for a Lvl 90 build translates to roughly ~1800 additional life pool.

The clunky pendulum effect has been replaced by one that is similar to the Blood and Sand stances which is another huge QoL for mapping and bossing.

If you look past golem nerfs then this is a great rework. Obviously, you'll hate it if you play golems.

I played Stone Golem, not Carrion and it was beyond broken. Golems have plenty of love, people just, like always, dont see any other option than the most OP one.

Right right... because elementalist was very popular in the first place.

Personally I would use Elementalist for golemancer only if I want to abuse Harmony jewels and golem buff effect. For a single golem type, Necro is better.

The auto-re-summon is very good in my oppinion, because if you lose your chaos golem for example, all your physical damage mittigation is gone, need to re-summon asap, and until you find the correct skill might be dead. Also, sometimes you summon the wrong type of golems accidentally, which takes quite a bit to fix - remove the gem with wrong golem, summon only one, then re-summon the golem you lost.

apparantly you missed the whole point from when i opened the thread myself to what everyone else is saying, if you think stone golems are quote on quote beyond broken then i dont want to know what you think about spectre.

if we take a look on poeninja for a quick analys, 6% of the sc players play elementalist while 21% play necromancer, not all elementalists are golem builds as it is also good for.... other builds? same goes for necromancer. the divide betwen these two ascendancys is even bigger when we count in every character below lvl 99

ofcourse 6% is still alot in the grand picture dont get me wrong here but compared to the other minion builds is the point here. roguhly 1% of the templars is also playing spectre (im bad at math dont hate)

the point i opened the thread however was to make golems more accesable and not complain about the nerf (i assume golems will still deal awesome dps) as it is almost impossible to get a decent golem build running when you play SSF or pretty expensive to start on a trade league.

also a little rant about you: how come you play *beyond broken* build and have not killed sirus yet? i smell abit of bs here but just my opinion

Same @ Stone. We'll see how hard the nerf hits...
anyone who played stone / carrion golems knows its super overpowered if you have the currency for it, the golems destroy a8 last phase sirus in like 2 seconds with good gear, damn sometimes sirus doesn't even have a chance to attack you ONCE. you could also afk farm vortex and t16 blighted maps etc.

you might feel the damage nerf early game where you don't even have enough jewels / gear but in the mid-lategame it just doesn't matter

Appearently you missed that there is more people in here than just you and reply wasnt direced to you but person I quoted...
they could remove the physical tag off stone and carrion golem it'd fix that aspect immediately, don't pretend its somehow related to the ascendancies any of the minions are busted if your platform to start from is a level 27 gem especially with auras how they are currently.

If they left the physical tag but nerfed the golem damage i think that is a mistake as it isn't addressing the problem but has a knock on effect of nerfing the less used golem specs.

Basically cold iron points responsible for most of those shenanigans.

The new spec looks exciting to me I understand why people think its BS that they gutted the herald node and made the golem node worse (whoever said only golemancers took this node your a plonker mate its the best pair). However the changes look beneficial towards every other archetype you'd use them for.

Elementalist has always been a bit stronger than the community perceived it to be so it'll be interesting to see what new builds come of this, my league starters still functional so i'll manage.
