That's why I can only play minion builds for the last 1+ years. I got some serious finger/wrist pain (on both hands!) 3 years ago while playing poe and needed more than 2 years (didn't play poe at all during that time) for it to not affect me too much while playing games.

Minions are the only option for me to still get some enjoyment from poe and they are constantly nerfing every single build I tried the last several leagues...

this, just check on youtube, golemancers ( not aurastacking ) with proper gear MELT content
i AFK farmed 100+ t16 blighted maps / completed t17 100% delirius fully juiced maps deathless / instantly killed sirus last phase without him even attacking me ONCE with something like 120-150 ex investment

on one thing i do agree tho, you really don't want to start as a golemancer because the damage nerf is huge early game ( and maybe you'll feel it midgame ) but hey it's not the only build that's not optimal for starting at level 1

a 120% increase doesnt realy matter that much. The Main damage from golems come from the level. and the MORE Minion dmg nodes/support gems.

Tested it in poebuilder with a "custom ghastly eye jewel". 120% increase minion damage ~ +1 level of the Minion gem. (from level 27 flame golem to 28)

and guess what. with the maiden orb we can most likely craft +1 to minion gems so we can compensate for that. but lets see

Totally agree. Golementalist is looking like something to repsec into late game if it appeals to you. The good news may be that the big midgame nerf should make the gems and jewels a bit less expensive, depending on what else GGG does of course. I should also clarify that my build is not aurastacking fwiw.

Well golem jewels will be cheap this league. There is no easy way to make up for the 120% damage loss. I guess they will still be very good, but feels bad to play something that is worse than last leagues.
I guess Elementalist is now really only for spellcasters.

This so much. Before 3.13 it was my worry that by nerfing carrion golems they will also nerf something for all golems and here we have it. I wonder if they are also planning to limit the number of primordial harmony jewels one can equip, or something among those lines, so that golemancer builds are dead for good...


So your build in which you dont even need to click a SINGLE button now will need 15 sec to kill end game boss instead 12 sec.

Why does any build I have fun playing get smacked with a Nerf-Harmmer for the foreseeable future?

This is as close to a single-player game as a multiplayer game can get...

Playing on console means I can't get any of the "uber gear" easily for all the really cool "meta" builds. So, I have to go the "Brute Force on a Dime" route to get a powerful build.

Then, it gets whacked.

I sure hope there are some things I can do to make up for that in this new game I'll be playing.

Maybe because you only enjoy most broken builds and those are usually nerfed?
First time ever I wanted to try golemancer build, aaand... its gone.
PoE nowadays looks more and more like a fan-made fork server with tons of custom weird experimental stuff rather than original game with carefully thought out balance brough live to players.
