If you stack harmony jewels, it's not that bad. But for ignite, I would skip golems and take the lightning/aegis/exposure nodes instead.
I think its dumb. They should have moved golems to necromancer and greatly overhauled elementalist into something truly elemental focused.

3.13 was the pinnacle of PoE. IVYS+1 Gang 4 Life.
Also I am sad that 25% reduced mana reservation for heralds were removed, this allowed to stack vitality aura and skitterbots/low cost aura on top of 4 heralds. Now you won't have enough mana for it.
This also feels like a nerf.
So all in all - elementalist herald/elemnts builds was nerfed as well. Back to assassin with heralds.

RIP elemntalist I guess, sad.

Lost 20% on one ascendancy node, gained 5% on the other - per summoned golem.
Full Primordial Jewel setup is 6 golems. So we lose 90% increased damage.
It's not a terrible nerf to golems. Let's wait and see what they do to the actual Carrion golem skill gem in the patch notes.
Also with the rest of the rework to Elementalist, we can spec to be effectively our own Skitterbots if we were to use cyclone shocking/chilling on all hits. Or we can gain a ~2k hp shield (Primal Aegis) Don't know if this means it's for all dmg types except chaos or maybe even including chaos.
All in all. Golem Elementalist is still in a good spot. For now xD

This! And the auto re-summon for an elementalist is absolutely stupid, because it's completely unnecessary. Anyone taking these node is going to be focusing on golems, and as such, the golems are not going to die.

It's all the other classes that choose to use a one-off golem in there build that needs an auto re-summon node, because these are the golems that are more often dead than alive.

And with the lost 120% Golem damage (at 6 golems), elementalist just became worse at running golems than a necromancer, although elementalist was probably already worse.

as someone who has done multiple builds that use the golems for the buffs(getting 4x golems, stone, chaos, lightning/ice/fire(pick 2)), the auto resummon will be great for them, they die somewhat frequently. aka not everybody will be taking them just for a golem build).

Elementalist changes are making me lean towards a caster elementalist, both golem nodes, bastion of elements and either exposure or shock node.


the main thing that really got nerfed was pure golem builds.

I dislike that heart of destruction can only get 50% uptime.
