" He's one of those aRPG players who thinks Diablo 1 is the greatest thing since sliced bread, and is above all aRPGs. There is quite a bit of them around 😂. Rare sight to see, though "Path of Exile's engine is currently modern, lean and fast." - Chris Wilson, September 19th, 2019 "It looks like we broke something with 3.10.0. " You got that just from me saying I preferred the atmosphere of D1 to D2? How insightful, yet completely wrong. Mechanics wise, D2 clearly has D1 beaten, and the increased variety of playstyles lends itself to greater playability. I was quite hyped to play it after hearing about how many things they'd improved upon from the first game, but when I played I just didn't like it, which has nothing to do with how good or bad the game was, but with what my personal tastes are. I also don't like playing any FPS games, but I don't think the entire genre is therefore inferior. Don't take it so hard that some people don't like the same things you do. The world would be a pretty boring place if we were all the same. If I did have to choose a best ARPG (or at least Diablo-style RGG), I'd go with PoE. |

Even insiunuating that D4 will have a chance to get anywhere close to PoE is ridiculous at best. "pro" players will blast through the content in days, maybe a week if the devs really do an insane job. Why? It just isn't possible to release a new ARPG with enough content to please people these days. The devs needs all the years PoE devs have had to create all that content. The better graphics(monster details, armor details, environment detail etc etc.), the longer it takes to make more content. At that point it would take waaay too much money to get even a few% of the content PoE has. Sure GGG has been slipping lately on the quality on release. That doesn't make any competition get much closer though.

" The Truth of the matter currently is that PoE is simply like a nail or a screw. And Diablo is the hammer/alan wrench. PoE doesn't work without Diablo trailblazing the way. Diablo makes it's own way without PoE. Now who is dependant upon who again? [Removed by Support] Last edited by Isaac_GGG#0000 on Oct 19, 2020, 2:36:04 AM

" Then who will make up the $20 'support'? He's a pro, after all, sacrifices must be made! |

Stop the silly harassment. You'd expect even an nudge more than the bare minimum of social etiquette from PoE users, well, somehow I'm still not surprised. I have not been disproven and at the same time berrated by my lessors.

" It must be exhausting... (P.S) Still doesn't seem like you managed that A10 on a marauder yet. |

" It is not 'harassment' to simply remind people of something someone said that might somehow contradict their current argument or stance. Harassment would be doing so for no reason whatsoever, relentlessly. It is perfectly logical to counter a bold, seemingly arrogant claim of 'I am an (ex) pro gamer' with 'you once said you had trouble doing something even casual players can do easily'. Clearly you said it; plenty of people are making mention of it. Ball's in your court there. Either recant or own it. But don't try to ignore it, because it's sort of your Achilles' heel right now, and people here definitely don't forget those. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.
I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. |
