GGG it's time to release a statement about what happened this league.

Temporary leagues are experiments.
Experiments aren't guarenteed to be fun, especially if you disagree with this statement.

I’m just going to point out that customer relations and PR are indeed things that exist and businesses engage in all the time. This whole “why should a business apologize when they mess up?” thing has zero basis in best practices about how to a. attract and keep customers, b. build a trusted brand, and c. be ethical human beings.

Can players/customers be overly demanding or fickle? Hell yes. But it’s intellectually dishonest to portray any attempt at holding an institution to account over their failures as merely a character flaw on the part of those affected.

Apologies and explanations matter. I think GGG should issue one regarding the game’s poor quality this league (it’s been the whole game that has had so many issues, not just Heist). I have a feeling they are at least discussing a statement internally, because they know this hasn’t been a good look.

The whole premise that this league is "poor quality" is questionable. It's not your cup of tea. I find it quite repetitive and over-tuned. It didn't roll out complete.

But it's not as bad as the haters are making it out to be.

TencentGGG are not in any way obligated to 'release a statement', but if they feel an explanation is needed, you'll probably get one. That is their MO so far -- this forum's 'manifesto' board is far more packed with developer statements, after-the-fact defences of decision and pre-emptive justifications for incoming changes than most games'. But if you don't get one, for fuck's sake, please read between the lines. It's not hard.

don't expect anything like that.. I don't think that I can handle myself to read more damage control posts and blaming covid for everything that was already happening pre pandemic.

Oh c'mon.

They didn't "announce" anything on reddit. Bex casually said it was coming back but provided little details.

Once they have a set idea how Harvest will look blended into core, there will be an official post here.

Shes cool and all but not everything Bex says is a Major Announcement lol.

I must be playing a different game.

Heist is so much fun for me, last time I had that much fun was during Blight. Delerium or Legion were completely unplayable for me, Harvest as well I did not last more than a week in those.

Now Heist is super fun, I love the idea of NPCs that join me, their stories are great, the heist mechanic is super rewarding and the best is, I have not crashed a single time or had a dc since league start.

I would say that for me, the game runs better than ever before. My FPS since Bloom is around 30-40 which I dislike, but my pc is quite old so it is to be expected. I still want to disable it though, just like with shadows, so if that comes I will be willing to spend money again.
