GGG it's time to release a statement about what happened this league.
" I'm happy they release ambitious league even if it is buggy at start, Imagine if every season was like D3 where the only change is that an unique is now a passive bonus - but damn it is fully tested, not a single bug with the passive bonus. Last edited by Stybbe#7939 on Oct 9, 2020, 9:38:15 AM

Wait, you wanted 700 new useless skill gems and all the new trash basetypes?
Bloat isn't always good. More is not always better. Many would prefer a far simpler league than heists. If you only take things to extremes, you'll end up with nothing good |

Entitlement much?
Would a Chris apology statement actually make you feel better, or would you just post a rant in a post after that and then off to reddit to post some dank memes? Listen I'm no GGG apologist by any means, and I hate these rando non-arpg leagues, but I'm under no illusion that GGG owes me explanations, or will change their development philosophy. But keep up the good fight. I'm sure support will message you soon to confirm your address so that Chris's apology letter gets to you ASAP. And what's a statement going to do? Make you feel all warm and tingly inside?
They don't need to release any kind of statement, the league was never unplayable or, how did you phrase it "and unmitigated disaster". As said above you're over reacting. Sure some things didn't work properly but it never stopped me and many others from enjoying the game. |

I would buy a second 88€ Supporter pack to get an insight what happens the last 4 Months at GGG.
That league starts are becoming a broken and easy to criticize mess seems to get more and more true statement since Blight. I can't remember a league that went smooth from the start. Always Week one patch always endless complaining before anything was said or done. And it became more and more normal that some design decisions are outright bad for some of the league mechanics. Just from the top of my head: 1. Blight had balancing issues and instance crashing. The game could not handle the Core endgame mechanics at release. 2. Methamorph the Organ collecting. 3. Delirium crazy damage, very poor visibility, but overall was mostly fine but would be a perfect league if we had gotten the loot vacuum to remove back tracking. 4. Harvest the small storage tanks, the stairs, the storage, the mod pool. And now Heist is the worst offender.(See OP) From what i can see what is communicated things must be difficult at GGG. 1. So many MTX are pushed atm. it seems like there is a Money problem on the horizon. 2. A big part of the development concentration went into the Story and Presentation. This is my explanation why the mechanism are so... lackluster. 3. If they really had Problems with the current 'rona situation they should have made cuts and shifted the focus accordingly. Maybe cut down on Story and voice acting and be sure the core interactions do work properly and are fun. But it seems the focus went off the track and they all wanted to do something different and completely unrelated to PoE core mechanics. To bring this point home, I have never seen a +3000 up vote post on Reddit about bad Voice acting or graphics design. 4. I work in an IT Job and i shifted to home office in march this year. I know that sometimes people do not have the equipment or a place to work from home but i though a company that works at the nerve of time (Game development) has much less problems with remote work than an 60 year old Corporate behemoth. But now i read "we only hire People that are living next to our headquarter". Is this a personal preference or are the structures lacking to support remote work? Or are people so demotivated that nothing gets done in Home office? I think it is really time to take a break and let everybody rest and think about how to progress from here. If this contentious i and many others will only be more cynical and dismissive of new leagues and their introduction and this makes me very sad. |

"What does this phrase actually mean? Like, I'm genuinely curious. According to you, if we don't get some oversimplified, no thinking involved league like Breach or Legion or Metamorph, this is fun? How many more times can they copy paste a league like this while attempting to make it look different when it's just the same thing over and over again with no variation in gameplay, and that's what defines the game for you? ARPG has the term ROLE-PLAYING in it by the way, it's not all just hack and slash. I actually enjoyed the role-playing aspect of making my garden and harvesting the seeds with the monsters. The game needs more immersion like this and they are implementing more role-playing aspects like this with Heist. I am only taking a break because the devs seem to have gotten lazy to not want to put in the effort to make Harvest go core with 3.12, thus I am not coming back to the game until Harvest with the garden is back with balanced crafts. Also, God forbid the devs bring something actually new and creative into the game for once that is not the same mind-numbing, rinse and repeat killing all the time that we get from most leagues. Oh let me guess, the different build variety in new leagues makes it new and exciting for you? When the majority of players just copy PoE Ninja charts for the most part and so even this ends up repetitive and boring with each league. An ARPG by the way, has ROLE-PLAYING in the name, meaning the game does not always have to be centered around overly simplistic killing that appeals to people who don't want to think a lot when playing the game. Should the devs maybe remove anything from the game that doesn't involve killing for you? Maybe they should remove Labyrinth runnings with avoiding traps and remove Betrayal content where you actually have to use decision-making skills in the Syndicate board? If you don't like this new type of content, you are free to leave to other games OR, here's an even better idea, don't partake in the new content if you don't want to because there are plenty of other activities to do in the game that end up giving you the same result that the new league content does. Moreover, many players have different tastes in what they like from the game and DO enjoy this type of alternative content. That is why hideout decorating is popular among the community because it gives the player an interesting side activity to do in the game when the player is burned out on just killing constantly. Overall, Harvest was popular among many players who did give it a chance and brought something actually unique and new to the table in terms of the gardening role-playing aspect. This actually enhances the game because it gives the player more options in terms of side content they can engage in and I would argue it is ignorant to say otherwise because the content is not forced and you can do other content in the game to achieve the same result. 🔷🔶🔰🌀✨Standard>Leagues✨🌀🔰🔶🔷

" It's not complicated. Not even a little bit. People enjoy PoE because it is, in it's most basic form, an arpg looter. What does my "phrase" mean? Bestiary = Pokemon catch em all Synthesis = Table Top Game Blight = Tower Defense Harvest = Stardew Valley Heist = Metal Gear Light stealth-like The basic question to ask, is why in the fuck are you messing with what made the game great? Take the basics and expand on it. Ambush, Breach, Abyss, Legion, Metamorph, all oustanding leagues that maximize the kill enemies / get loot cycle that is very satisfying. Its tried and true, it works, and then numbers show it. Been this way since Diablo 1. Hell I watched Cutedog print money last night from splitting and running grand heists, barely killing anything at all. It's a fucking chest opening simulator now. Edit: some spelling and grammar. " My job is also hard and requires professional skills. Though, I can't afford to provide my clients low quality services. First, it will destroy my business. Second, I will be ashamed of myself. Apparently I've chosen the wrong professional field, who knows... GGG tend to follow compromised working practices and business planning. Which is inexcusable. The scariest part is, it has become the norm. This is a buff © 2016

" Don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching his stream, but comparing yourself to a streamer that gets a shit ton of currency by his viewers just giving it to him is ridiculous. (for lack of a better term) Don't forget that a few of these streamers have a team of people doing side stuff for them like trading. Whereas most of us are solo and doing the best we can. Besides, he had the roughest start to any league in Heist. He was struggling big time and was acting a little....strange for the first few days. My tinfoil hat says it had something to do with that big bot banwave at league start. Nobody can convince me that there aren't teams of people paying others to botfarm for them.
