GGG it's time to release a statement about what happened this league.
First off I want to say that I love Poe and as someone who has played ARPG's since the mother of the genre, Diablo, this game really scratches that ARPG itch in the best of ways. I also very much wish for GGG's continued success.
However this league has been an unmitigated disaster during it's first month! There are so many baffling design decisions that have been made that one has to wonder what goes on behind the scenes. We all understand the development strains that covid shutdowns have caused but Heist is so clearly marred by wierd directions that has nothing to do with those work environment issues. So first thing is why was there this wierd anti-arpg mechanic in Heist where killing monsters were bad?! That right there is the wierdest part. We actually had to wait the first week of a league launch for that decision to be reveresed and removed. Then the whole door opening mechanic...are the hard working people at GGG so tone deaf that you don't listen to your fans that for years even hate opening doors in maps let alone a whole league based around it? Very strange indeed. The whole rogue mechanic is good in concept but the varying animations surrounding the different jobs they do is infuriating at best. We are still waiting for the next patch that will finally make it happen so we the players can step more than 2 feet away from our door opening companion so he/she can continue to open the damn door! This was a working as intended mechanic up until now that just baffles me and makes me wonder who tests your game?! Killing mobs in Heist barely giving out XP until a few weeks into the leauge was another wierd and very anti-arpg mechanic for a game that only has a maximum of 1-2% of it's entire game population reaching level 100 during any given league. Were you guys afraid of that number becoming 5% or something? The above are just a few very strange decisions that were very apparent even after running a few contracts so how did you guys not see this during 13 weeks of development? Then there of course is the sheer volume of bugs this league! New skills not working as intended, some new skill gems still not working until the next patch. Heist portals disappeareing so most of us couldn't run grand heist for weeks. Crashes upon crashes upon crashes for people and new patches that needs constant hotfixing because they introduced new crashes and bugs. I understand that you guys/gals at GGG doesn't owe us players any intricate explanation about the inner development workings within your company, but it would be nice to know what steps you are taking in ensuring that these kind of launches don't happen again. I really want to like Heist and there is a lot of fun to be had with the amount of loot that drops during heist contracts and grand heists, but after the first month the league has more frustration built in it and more wierd design decisions that are one by one being altered in patches than in any league in a long time. So what has happened and what steps are being taken so these kind of things doesn't happen again? Tests servers a very much needed even if you guys just invite high profile streamers. You’re right but sadly they don’t really care anymore. They will make bland excuses about it (or eventually blame the covid like the problem wasn’t existing before 2020) and then fire and forget the next league, it’s an unending cycle. Until PoE 2 if so

Pro-players happened to PoE.
According to their logic, Arpg´s are about slaying monsters, so they complained about beeing encouraged to nonslay a handfull of guards. GGG changed it so when the alarm went off, thousands upon thousands of mobs spawn, which give expierience and rob you off your loot once you chicken out in hardcore. Therefor me gustó cásúáls are going to ignore slaying thousands of reinvorcements, which is against the Arpg genre rulebook but it saves the LOOOT. Why would one do map a heist ? Heists aren´t suited for xp-farming ? Should heists focus be loot or xp ? If it is for XP, should droprate of heistmaps be reduced ? " Nah yeah you are of course right, league mechanics like grand heist not working for over 2 weeks due to a loss of portals, new skills introduced that people league starting with not working properly, unfinishable contracts and grand heists due to rogue companions not being able to open doors, new skill gems introduced that don't work as intended to this day, and a multitude of crashes that killed off peoples ability to even play the game... ...yeah I'm totally over-reacting. |

ggg coudnt relase any singLE one just 1 league without mistake bug lag problems etc thats the their capacity still acting small company when they earn tons of money from mtx supporter packs people also looking happy abt that relationship goals also if you think heist bad league just wait next league you will miss heist |

You're correct they were quite many bugs compared to previous leagues, but game dev is hard and if you compare poe to other titles they're doing great in fixing things fast. 2 weeks is really fast. Other games can take months before they even acknowledge a bug, you ever played ESO?
My guess is they had less manpower or communication between teams due to covid. All it takes is one good QA person to be home sick and bugs will just sip through. |

Pretty sure this league is due to second lockdown so that it is not finish.....coming Monday may be not yet the "full release". God knows the new basetype and previewed 3.12 unique will be out in coming Monday or not....
