Labyrinth is still not fun. It's horrible content

The first time one of those blade trap thingies hit me when I didn't think it would, I pooped a full chromatic spectrum when that blade took half of my life off and the bleed nearly killed me, since I didn't expect it to connect and I kept moving. I must have touched 100 hp if not lower.

I stayed well clear of them in the future, especially those rooms where you get the flying darts along with the blade traps on a narrow ledge with sawblades too, I really took my time to slot in a proper movement skill if needed and get my timing right, before I moved at all.

Yeah, I've seen lots of people just quicksilver and yolo it, but again, temper your expectations. If you do that, you risk dying and it's no fault of the traps at that point, only your lack of patience.

I actually like the Lab. (I can also understand that people hate it ;p)

Secret passages, hidden stuff, traps, dark shrines, chests, a very slight HC feeling due to the fact that you have to restart if u die....I like it and find it much better and original than most leagues.



What I absolutely hate about it and what makes me hardly ever play it is not the lab itself:

1.) Getting the enchant I am looking for is very unlikely. That's why I don't even wanna try. (I know there are people who see this part differently and I'm happy for them)

2.) If I get a disconnect, I gotta restart. (grrrr)

3.) I can't trade for quite a while (minor issue but still a bit annoying)

Feel free to ignore BlackPulsar. If you're a new player, then your problem with the lack of feedback about what killed you is absolutely spot on imo. If I didn't have years and years of experience (read: trial and error) with PoE, I would most likely feel the same way. In fact, I have.

Even when you start figuring out most of it, things like the Lab will throw a wrench in it all and twist the rules again. There are a number of other things in map mods, certain bosses and monster types that aren't that common, but will ruin your day if you're not prepared. Most of these will simply kill you the first time, when you hopefully go "ah... so that's what it does" and you learn for next time.

Hopefully. If you have a clue what happened without a log in a game where basically the entire screen lights up like the surface of the sun every 0.3 secs...

See? I can be critical of PoE. The new player experience leaves a lot to be desired. The solution still eludes me. Read everything in the tutorials. Yes it's a lot, just do it. Ask people, in-game, forums, discord. Some will call you a noob, some ignore you, some will take their time to explain things. It doesn't matter, we were all noobs once. I spent my first exalt ever on a lvl 27 rare bow while leveling my ranger to "make it better". Yeah.

There are a lot of boss hints or cheat sheets that can also be helpful to noobies. Google search is probably the best place to look. I like learning the boss's on my own so I personally don't use them except for labyrinth. For that I use https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1607249

did not call him a boot, i asked if he is one cause of the profile name and bashing the game on multiple posts.
i'm not gonna fight anything with anything,arguments don't ever end in forum threads.
don't know all the threads i found him in but this is one of them and check the first impressions thread,i made one post there cause i never have in 6 years and than i saw the one page complaint from this guy...
saw the careless profile name and lie caus he sais one year but started 2017 than saw him on other threads with his dislike for the game and than i asked, you some boot or something?... big deal
tho i am happy that me saying he came from blizzard is considered rude here :)))
