Labyrinth is still not fun. It's horrible content
" I actually read his post in the First Impressions thread that you refer to. He is obviously a relatively new player. His characters also indicate a fairly inexperienced player. His account creation date in 2017 doesn't mean he's been playing for three years. You seem to be accusing him of dishonesty because he said he had only been playing for a year yet he has a 2017 account creation. From the evidence I see, I would be surprised if he has over a hundred hours of play time? That is in the noobie range isn't it? Let's not forget that PoE is actually a very complicated game and that can be overwhelming to an inexperienced player. He is just trying to deal with that. If he disliked the game all that much he would have just dropped it and left. He seems to be struggling to get a better handle on it. At least that is my interpretation. I feel like you hate lab, when you don't know the lab. I typically run it daily a few times. 2x on merc to warm up my speed then once quick on Uber. PS4 SSF is so dead I typically get the lab rewards. (major part of why I do it) When I first started doing it, it took some time. Now I can almost enter an area and know 'oh, the door is here.' I'm by no means a super set up lab runner build, just ED trickster and I can still sub 7 minute Uber most of the time.
The rooms rotate sure, but once you learn them their shape doesn't change. I even had one lab with 2 of the same room it it once. Serious de ja vu I did just hit my 40% ED dmg on my Hubris Circlet tho so gonna take some days off to let the rest of the server enjoy the jewel rewards. I just got the one I really wanted :)) TBH the only thing I hate about it is when I DC during it (PS4 plague) and you lose your offering and have to do it all again. I lost track after the 5th time of how many times I was killing the 3rd Izaro and the game just stopped. Those things are a pita to get on SSF, 100 Argus kills gonna be rough if I DC before I can find him. |

" Your assumption is common but wrong. When people enjoy the trap gauntlet content it can sometimes be hard for them to understand why someone else doesn't like that content. I detest computer games that are made of trap gauntlet like game play. For example, Tomb Raider is not fun and a horrible game IMHO. I enjoy ARPG game play, of course. That is kill monster get loot game play. I don't play the lab content if I don't have to but I've played it enough that I too recognize many of the trap gauntlet layouts. It is not fun to me. " I don't think anyone would deny that, mate. The thing is though, you've been telling us about that for years now, but it's still a part of the game. Maybe not "ARPG" as a genre, but definitely a part of POE. The good folks at GGG spent a ton of time creating this content and people have been running it for so long. Feedback has been listened to, some things about it changed over time, but ultimately it's still here. If they found it necessary to remove this content, it would have already happened long ago.
