Diablo 3 played and here are the grim result's
" I come here. I'm not a troll, I enjoy both POE and diablo 3 and have had many good discussions with people like Charan about both games. ''Stand amongst the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters.

" I was being hyperbolic. You don't 1 hit stuff in D3 either. I'm just saying, it's both easy as hell if you don't go afk. ''Stand amongst the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters.

" Tagek, how much PoE are you playing, lately? Are you giving feedback, or even discussing the game in forum, except in terms of its demerits relative to Diablo 3? All I see you doing is cheerleading for D3. Which is fine, except I have to wonder: What are you still doing here? Isn't there someplace where you won't have to put up with those of us whose disappointment with D3 you simply cannot seem to fathom? Face it. Someone who comes to a forum such as this simply to argue apparently prefers that to the pastime he claims so ardently to champion. Some folks might call that trolling. =^[.]^= =^[.]^= basic (happy/amused) cheetahmoticon: Whiskers/eye/tear-streak/nose/tear-streak/eye/

I'll not join the random anger, but after have tried the beta there are two things that will make me probably play more D3 than PoE. First is that D3 has a great flow in its gameplay, the transaction from one phase to another isn't like anything I have ever seen in another game. Secondly is that combat, at this current time, are much more fun in D3. We'll see if it keeps going this all the way through thou.
Remember folks, what you know of D3, is pretty much the same as you know about a movie after watching a trailer. |

" Nah, you're wrong, Diablo 3 will last quite a while. As you say, they're attracting the WoW folks. And WoW's population has been in decline for a while, meaning they've been looking for something different. |

" Heh. Mebbe D3 will be that "gateway drug" that leads former WoW'ers to the hardcore stuff... Like PoE's PvP Cutthroat league. =^[.]~= =^[.]^= basic (happy/amused) cheetahmoticon: Whiskers/eye/tear-streak/nose/tear-streak/eye/

" Well, in D2, the answer would have been "to try out a different build," but it takes about a minute to check out whatever skill/combination I have access to. Admittedly, a game doesn't need to hold my interest for the absurd amount of time D2 did to be worth it (The original Diablo was much the same as D3 in this regard, in fact), but, combined with the fact that the game won't legitimately support modding, it's kind of a letdown, I suppose. I'll probably still get it, but I'm going to wait a while after release to see if all my friends who get it at release suddenly stop playing it. |

" At the moment I don't have time to play POE, as I am busy studying. This weekend I am taking a break to play some diablo and hang out with my friends. And I can fathom disappointment well enough, just not when it's based on blind ignorance. Also, don't pretend you know me, it's arrogant as hell and it makes you look like kindof a douche. " There were no builds in diablo 2's early game really. I mean, in d2 by level 9 you would have access to like 3 abilities if you invested in 1 tree. Now, by level 9, you basically have all the skills that would be divided into multiple trees available to you. I guess them being divided would add more playtime technically, but only because they don't allow you to access them all at once.
