Diablo 3 played and here are the grim result's
Listen up I have played both games beta extensively. And poe is more Diablo then Diablo 3 is. Poe is more in depth has a more entertaining combat and customization system for both your skills and your characters overall and thorough tuning of your skills and specialties. In Diablo 3 you just get what you get and that's that. But in poe you can makes your character into a precise role that you love and reap the benefits of going down the huge passive skill tree that is wonderful. I was very excited for d3 but after playing poe I can see which is superior in the genre. D3 has been turned to a action beat em up rather than a true action RPG. Sadly.

" In all truth it is not even close. Maybe once PoE has 3-4 acts and they implemented all the skills they want and all the monsters and levels and story we can realistically compare them. I been playing PoE for 6 months and D3 for 4h and I had more fun in those 4 hours then most of PoE playtime. And I am an old school player. Yes D3 has flaws and it a bit too streamlined and I really hope levels are bigger in real game but pure gameplay is much more interesting and fun then what PoE offers. |

" It's just your opinion.. It's fine ..nice and dandy .. don't don't present is as fact .. IN MY OPINION... Diablo 3 has the Diablo spirit in almost every single aspect.. While PoE is definitely trying to bring back that grim atmosphere, Diablo 3 is doing it better ..again..in my opinion. And yes.. I am also Diablo vetera, I am playing both games for months now... so. |

Ok, have you even heard of the inferno difficulty?
It will be like hell times 5. Even the top Diablo players will have a tough time with it. |

" Oh i can handle opinions, but being so hostile about it while saying thigs that aren't even true is pretty funny. |

Geez your post is so full of crap.
no random items?? hand held all the way thru entire game?? beta level 13-15?? so little monsters?? boss"es" are a joke when theres only one mini sub boss where he will wreck you if you stand still and fight him. You should actually try it before bsing. Last edited by Steamrice#3209 on Apr 21, 2012, 7:43:05 AM

Both D3 and PoE will have a nice happy place on my hard drive. I enjoy both for what each have to offer, and I will save judgement on D3, after I play the first 2-3 complete acts.
Some minor rebuttals with D3: Hand-Holding: Yes, there is some, You unlock a skill/rune, get your first quest, complete your first quest. First magic item, new equipment you can wear where you have none equipped. (They did this to aid new players, who have not played the style of game.) and should be tolerable for 10 minutes. Random Loot: Plenty of random loot, it is just not all magic, rare, epic, or legendary. That is what MF is for. Mobs left or right: I would add ahead, behind, as well as left or right, and, some of the traps are killer. 30+ chain kills at lv 5. Trap events, "Jar of Souls"..Epic! Skills: At beta max lv 13, I do not have enough hot-keys for the skills I would like to use. Which is fine, can customize on the 15th of May. |

This kids parents dont have $50 to spare for a real ARPG. Let him have hes fun in 2nd class, low-budget game, like PoE.
I'll play D3, won't even touch PoE, hearing that "46,911 people tried out the game" as Diablo 3 has already been rumored to sell 5 Million copies. Lol. Most of the people in D3 beta have never even heard of this game. !
